L’Equipe: PSG midfielder offered to Milan and Juventus

By Euan Burns -

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte has been offered to AC Milan and Juventus ahead of the summer transfer window, a report claims.

According to the French newspaper L’Equipe (via Milan Press), the Uruguayan midfielder may be on the move after one season in the French capital and Serie A is a potential destination.

Ugarte signed for PSG in the summer of 2023 for a massive €60m from Sporting CP, and he started the season very strongly and was almost undroppable from Luis Enrique’s midfield.

As the season progressed, he saw less and less time on the pitch and it seems that he is not the profile of defensive midfielder that the Spanish coach wants for next season.

Given this uncertainty about his future, Ugarte is being offered to various clubs and Milan and Juventus could make a move for him. It is not clear what sort of price PSG would demand for the 23-year-old but given they are selling him after one season, it may well be a reduction on the €60m that they paid for him.

Milan are in the market for a defensive midfielder and he would be a high-profile signing, but he could prove to be too expensive.

  1. I would go for him if we can sell Pobega and Adli for around 30mil combined. Then 60 mil for Ugarte wouldnt be that bad of a deal

  2. He’s a great option. It’s being tied to his agent that I’m worried about. Renewal window comes, then the club is held hostage.

  3. Would be a great window if we get him, Sesko and a CB. We should only get a RB if we get rid of Calabria and Florenzi.
