RedBird Capital Group owner Gerry Cardinale is going to focus entirely on AC Milan following his resignation from the board of French side Toulouse, a report claims.
As has been reported in France by LesViolets.com, a meeting earlier in June resulted in Cardinale stepping away from his administrative role at Toulouse, a club that is also owned by RedBird.
One of the main reasons for this is that there are UEFA rules around people owning and being high up at more than one football club, especially if the clubs were to then play each other.
Alec Scheiner, Niraj Shah and Isaac Halyard are all still involved with both clubs, which means that RedBird are awaiting further evaluation from UEFA to find out if more organisational changes are needed.
Another reason for Cardinale to give more focus to Milan is that with Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara now gone, there is some confusion around transfer strategy.

We have confusion on our strategy…this looks like a mess on the horizon. Trust them…lol two summers in a row decisions were made to seemingly validate or excuse this group’s unwillingness to invest into improving our team.
Jerry is in the US with The Rock for sporting events (wrestling or catch or XFL or whatever), he doesn’t seem particularly in a hurry to find a new Sporting Director. It’s probably part of the strategy, we will take the leftovers in the mercato, it will be easier to sign players with no competition.
You may say that in joke and I’m not sure which region you are in but the visibility of Milan has increased alot in North America since Redbird took over, especially in movie promos. But the success on the pitch ie winning Scudetto is also part of that. Strange for me as to why Cardinale doesn’t see that that success helped Milan’s image a whole lot.
