One of Igli Tare’s priorities as the sporting director of AC Milan will be to extend Mattia Liberali’s contract, a report has claimed.
With his contract set to expire in just over 12 months, Milan must resolve the future of Liberali amid rumours that Atalanta and Fiorentina are monitoring his situation. Inter have even been linked recently, which caused a predictable stir.

However, there has been no positive news regarding the extension of the teenager’s contract, leading to suggestions Liberali is actually more likely to leave. That being said, a lot of things have been on pause while a director was chosen, and now Tare should arrive things can get moving again.
Liberali: A priority for Tare
According to Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, the renewal of Liberali’s contract is ‘among Tare’s objectives’ as he prepares for his first and perhaps most crucial summer at Milan.
On social media, a picture is doing the rounds showing Tare’s choice of the most talented Italian youth players from November 2024, and he has Liberali in the team.
Francesco Camarda and Kevin Zeroli are also in there, while Giovanni Leoni and Pietro Comuzzo are named as well, having both been named as Milan targets earlier today.
