GdS: Lille set to sell despite €60m from UCL campaign – trio in the orbit of Milan

AC Milan are pushing and will continue to push for the signing of Sven Botman and Renato Sanches from Lille, according to a report.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Lille’s passage to the last 16 of the Champions League has earned them around €60m in revenue, but it will not be enough to avoid the summer overhaul of a team that will lose valuable pieces, including Botman and Sanches.

The Dutchman came off during the second leg against Chelsea but it should not put a possible deal with Milan at risk as he remains the Rossoneri’s priority and they will aim to wrap everything up soon.

A Premier League side coming in is the only thing that could derail the operation given Lille rejected a €50m offer from Newcastle in January. The Portuguese international meanwhile will be out for a few weeks with a muscle problem and he can leave for €25m.

Another player to keep an eye on is Timothy Weah – the son of George – who declared himself available for a transfer to Milan. However, Lille seem more inclined to keep him and to build around him for the future.
