Yes another ringing endorsement has arrived regarding Divock Origi ahead of a potential move to AC Milan, this time from Liverpool team-mate Jurgen Klopp.

Calciomercato.com are among the sources to report that Origi is close to joining Milan, and he had the Liverpool fans singing his name again on Sunday after he came off the bench and helped with the derby against Everton.

He had a hand in the first goal from Andy Robertson and then sealed the game with a header, while the Rossoneri and the Belgian striker have found an agreement over a four-year contract worth €4m net per season.

Speaking at the press conference after Liverpool’s win against Everton, Jordan Henderson – the captain of the Reds – spoke of Origi’s performance.

“He was brilliant. Overall play, his goal, everything. He does love a derby! He’s a great lad and I’m sure he’s frustrated by his lack of minutes, injuries haven’t helped. Great to have for the team. He produced the good on Sunday,” he said.

Origi is a man for the big occasion and Klopp will be losing a player than he described as ‘world class’ and as a ‘legend’ in his post-match interview, with the former Wolfsburg and Lille man ready for a new adventure in Italy.
