Liverpool have been left surprised by Luis Diaz’s contract demands, a report claims, and AC Milan are considering a move.

According to what is being reported by Anfield Watch, Diaz ‘has given Liverpool an astonishing contract demand’, while the club are trying to extend Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold who are all on expiring deals.

Diaz signed a contract until 2027 when he arrived from FC Porto, meaning he will be in the last two years of his deal in the summer. The report claims he earns about £55k per week with the Reds, and he is wanting that hiking up to €150k.

Milan ‘are indeed interested in the Colombian’s services’ as per the report, because he is seen as the ‘ideal replacement for Rafael Leao’. The Rossoneri could cash in on the winger in the summer if the right offer comes in, knowing he has plenty of suitors.

However, it seems that Milan ‘cannot afford’ the Colombia international ‘due to his excessive salary demands’. Diaz has nine goals and three assists in 22 games this season across all competitions.

It was reported back in March by a source in Colombo that Milan are keeping an eye on his situation, so it appears that the interest is long-standing.

  1. What’s the point in this article? Milan like Diaz but can’t afford him. Talk about writing an article for the sake of it…just click bait!

  2. I think when his agent is trying to convince Liverpool that he has clubs willing to pay that money, he should have done ten minutes’ research first or he’d know that has no believability whatsoever.

  3. Let’s be honest here. The only reason he was seen as the “ideal” replacement for leao was because he has a “low” salary..
And ofc he wants a raise

  4. He’s asking too much money from Liverpool so Milan will jump in and give him that? LOL. In which Marvel Universe is that? The one where Mbappe buys out his contract with Real to join Milan for free and pay the club to get to play for the shirt?

  5. LOL

Ya ya ya, we are “interested” in every player until we find out the asking price of the club or salary of the player…

Move on. Waste of an article as usual
