AC Milan have been offered Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez, but at present a move to Saudi Arabia feels more likely.
It was announced in June by Igli Tare that one of his aims as the new sporting director is to give the head coach Massimiliano Allegri a top-level striker to complete the attacking department. A number of names have been linked, and Nunez is one that will not go away.

It was reported on Saturday that the former Benfica man is actually the number one target for the Rossoneri in their pursuit of a centre-forward. The costs make the operation difficult, but there have been talks with the player.
Nunez: Al-Hilal or AC Milan?
Fabrizio Romano spoke in a video on his YouTube channel and he gave an update on the future of the Uruguay international, confirming that Milan have been offered the chance to sign him, but with the asking price very high.

“Nunez has given his initial approval to speak with Al-Hilal. Simone Inzaghi has spoken directly with him,” he said (via MilanNews).
“At the moment there is still no agreement on the contract, while there shouldn’t be any problems with the agreement with Liverpool, which starts at a valuation of 70 million euros, but are willing to go down to 65 million. Al-Hilal hope to reach an agreement with the striker soon.
“Regarding the rumours about Milan, Nunez has been proposed to the Rossoneri, who have made their evaluations, but at the moment the Diavolo have not submitted an offer. Milan are focused on other operations.”

Hilariously Al-Hilal fans protest against his signing. Yes a club with almost infinite spending power and still their fans don’t want him in their squad.
That’s how much of a comedy striker this guy is. And somehow our management are considering bringing him to Milan? Cmon… have we learnt nothing from Emerson Royale or Origi… no more banter signings please!
We don’t have the funds to get him so relax. 🙂
Dont worry , ACM cannot pay his transfer fee and his salary. Thats save ACM from over price player like darwin & jackson. Relax
How foul our management is?sign Nunez?are we crazy??this man don’t deserve to wear Ac Milan jersey is a mess better we call back Jovic again
Darwin Nunez is getting so much undeserved bad press it’s insane. He is one of the gre complete steikers in world football today, and he literally doesn’t have a weakness. If a player with his ability can be unlocked, then the whole team gets unlocked basically.
The reason why he couldn’t succeed at Liverpool, is that the whole team and tactics were set up around Mohammed Salah. This meant that the team never played to Darwin’s strengths, and he instead had to fit into a system around Salah. He never got proper service because if this, and would often play out of position as well.
Same thing happened to Shevchenko at Chelsea, where everything was working around Drogba.
If Darwin Nunez is given the keys and we made him hour number 9, he would absolutely destroy Serie A. It’s so obvious given his skillset. He is quick, strong, technical, good in the air, and he makes his team mates better as well. At Benfica he not only scored a lot, he also made just as many assists! Hun surrounded by Leao & Pulisic would be deadly 🔥
If we are going to pay top money for one striker this Summer, it should 100 percent be Darwin Nunez. Meme culture has ruined his reputation but serious football people should not be blinded by that. Milan fans should be better 👌
Spot on Mickey. I’d love to see him here, but I don’t think we can afford the fee and salary.
Oh my god someone who actually understands football. Nunez would catapult this Milan team and if we were serious we should cough up the money but I still maintain if we have 65 to spend we should get vlahovic (again similar bad press to Nunez but the fiorentina version shows what he’s capable of) and a top central defender and I still think we should get Kessie back
Vlahovic would be a really big upgrade for Milan, and I would definitely take him if the salary is reasonable. That being said, I feel like Vlahovic is more of a gamble for Milan, since he is kinda lazy and physically isn’t much of a threat despite his big frame. That’s the one area that makes him not a complete striker.
One thing I have always appreciated about Darwin Nunez, is that you can never fault his work ethic. No matter how tough the game is or how little service he gets. Nunez is always the strongest man on the field, and fights for every ball – That’s a quality that can move mountains in Serie A.
Maybe Vlahovic feels like he has something to prove this time around, and that could light a fire under him. If so, he would be a great Serie A player. Not sure if he ever did much in Europe, as I haven’t seen him play in the CL
I read somewhere that Juve is in for Kessie and Tonali, yikes 😬
Great comment. Thank you!
Maybe so, but why would Nunez be “given the keys” when our team is built around Leao? Leao is our star. So the situation is much the same as it was at Liverpool according to your theory, with the exception that our star winger plays on the left vs. the right. Then there is also Pulisic, who has technically been more productive than Leao and is arguably our second biggest star after Leao. No, what we need is a target man type to hold up play and bring down the ball in the box so that Leao and Pulisic can do their thing.
True. However, I think the case is more extreme in Liverpool because Salah moves around the whole field and dominates play more thna any other attacking player in the world. He likes small spaces and leave very little for a striker like Darwin Nunez – Who also likes to drop deeper, hold up the ball and take part in the build up play to provide for the team.
Leao does not dictate Milan’s entire style of play in the same way Salah does at Liverpool. Leao is allowed to play his own game, more so than deciding how his teammates should move. Nonetheless, Leao is direct and plays in bursts, which fits a target man a lot better than Liverpool’s system with Salah. Pulisic plays more similar to Salah, but again, the team doesn’t really play “for him” like we see with Salah.
I think your point is correct, but the case is different basically. Nunez will have much more space at Milan than at Liverpool.
good assessment. One sticking point liverpool fans have with him is that for some reason, any “goal” that’s a tap-in or 1v1 – easy goals, he seem to missed often.
But then next game he comes back with some crazy impossible goal only he can make. Squander the easy ones, make the hard ones… it’s his meme.
so we play for Darwin Nunez? or we play for Leao?
He’s a bottler. Strikers that miss easy chances are mentally weak. He’s an inferior Higuain.
If I was ever executed I want Nunez to lead the firing squad. That much faith I have in him.
Great player if he adapts but his expensive gamble ie 60m transfer + 6-7m wages. Much rather see us go for Vlahovic who has serie A experience and under right system is 20+ goal CF. We should look at Nkunku. He would be half the price but more clinical. He was a beast at Leipzig before he joined Chelsea.
Para dar 65M nele não dá vai comprometer o cap do time e melhor trazer o presidente e o atacante sérvio que tá jogado na juve e os laterais apesar de eu gostaria de nunez ele e um lutador como lukaku
