Loftus-Cheek gives cryptic answer about Milan future: “I can’t say much right now”

Much like AC Milan’s future is uncertain at present, Ruben Loftus-Cheek has admitted he is unsure where he will be playing next season.

Loftus-Cheek’s time at Milan could be coming to an end after three years. At the start of the season, there was great hope that this could be the season of his definitive breakthrough, with Massimiliano Allegri even stating that he wanted 15 goals combined from the Englishman and Youssouf Fofana.

However, the reality was not quite as positive. Loftus-Cheek was used in multiple different positions from central midfield to second striker and even wing-back, but he failed to nail down a starting spot and had some familiar physical issues again.

This has led to speculation that he will be sold this summer, depending of course on who the new head coach and technical director are. The midfielder was spoken to in the paddock at the Monaco Grand Prix by Sky Sports UK.

When asked by journalists about his future with Milan, he didn’t give too much away: “I can’t say much right now. Right now, I’m relaxing and enjoying the holidays with my family.”

for a deal worth around €16m in fixed fees plus €4m in bonuses, bringing the total cost to the club’s books to €21.5m. He has made 100 appearances, scoring 13 goals and providing four assists.

  1. He was brought in to replace our previous #8 (he who must not be named in this community) and what a change he was. With a nice package of 4 millions a year wage👌

  2. If Sarri still wants him, give them RLC and 30 million for Palestra. I would get rid of Saelemakers also too inconsistent.

  3. Waiting for K/Mk to justify this trash a$$ player. Averages what?? 3 or so goals contributions per season for a “box crasher” . Oh no, what will we do now, we’re gonna be so lost without him and his injuries.
    Sheesh
