Watch: Loftus-Cheek finally gives Milan the lead vs. Lecce after offside calls

After a ropey 60 minutes, AC Milan took the lead against Lecce through Ruben Loftus-Cheek, a much needed goal.

In a game where Milan needed to start quickly, they did not. Instead, the play was rather ropey for a lot of the game. It could have been so different, considering Matteo Gabbia and Santiago Gimenez had the ball in the back of the net. Both were disallowed, though.

Then, finally, the Rossoneri got their goal through Loftus-Cheek. A nice free-kick from Luka Modric found the Englishman near the penalty spot, and he flicked it home well. Talk about big goals.

  1. I disagree with that, RLC played a decent game, out of position and he forced the Lecce Keeper into 2 good saves…more than anyone else on the field. RLC is typically stronger running at the defence, not with his back to goal. He was in the box more than Gimenez and that is not where he is at his best. But I guess you are entitled to you opinion.

    1. You are also entitled to your opinion as anyone else is, but out of position. He wasn’t in the box more than Gimenez as his average position in the game shows that. You can think he is the best player that ever set his feet on a football field, I really do not care. But he wasn’t out of position or in the box more than Gimenez. These are things that aren’t subjective opinion, but you can easily check.
