Longo: Furlani is working to change Chelsea’s mind on Broja loan deal

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan CEO Giorgio Furlani is doing all that he can to convince Chelsea that they should loan Armando Broja to the Rossoneri this summer, a report claims.

As has been reported by Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, Milan are very serious about Broja and do not want him to remain at Chelsea this season.

Milan want a new striker who can challenge Olivier Giroud for the striker spot at the club, and bringing one in would allow them to send Lorenzo Colombo out on loan.

Chelsea have already decided that Broja is part of the plans this season under Mauricio Pochettino as they do not wish to sign another striker during the window.

Despite that, Furlani is doing what he can to take advantage of the positive relationship that the clubs have.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Christian Pulisic have joined Milan from Chelsea this summer so there is an open dialogue to tap into.

    1. Maybe Furlani is a genius and that is exactly his plan. Asking for a player, that they dont want to sell and then making discount on a player the want to get rid. Lukaku on loan with low loan fee and salary would be a good deal. But very unlikely…

    2. Broja for me is Sesko levels, but Lakaku would be good and the Milan derby would have an amazing back story.

Would love to see Lakaku in a Milan shirt take out Calhanoglu that would be worth €35m 😂

  1. Just sign Duvan Zapata on loan for this season and strengthen properly most critical and important position in this new formation.

  2. Against loser spool, Chelsea played with Jackson as a CF. Sterling Chukwuemeka behind and on the bench Mudryk, Madueke , Burstow.
They still have Ziyech, Lukaku in the team, with Nkunku, who will be back at November.
Thats a lot of attacking positions and the question is where Broja is going to fit in Chelsea…

    1. 💯 agree. Should have let the market set before we sold. Fine to sell him but should have waited for the market to set.

And don’t forget Rice for 128M…

      Crazy.

65M plus bonuses for Tonali was a steal

  3. Thats the diference between transfers from Premier Teams and tranfers between Premier Teams and most Teams from other Leagues.
Premier League market is super inflated if the player is inglish then it get even more inflated take for exemple Belligham to Real 103 m euros if he whas in some Premier team he would go for at minimum 120 m euros!

    1. Inter gave a price of £100 mil for Barella? Why we gave away Tonali so cheap for £52 mil? And the deal was all done in less than 48h with limited negotiation. Very poor

      1. Who said Barella was even leaving for that? They did that because they didn’t want to sell. We weren’t getting anything more for Tonali.

      2. On transfermarkt page Tonali value is between 50-55 mil. In serie a he could jump more, but his statistics must go up with goals and assists.
Long term, if Tonali stayed, his transfermarkt value could go up or down. But without good signings, Milan would not have good result. So Tonali statistics would be the same but value in decrease.
So 64 million euros for Tonali and maybe some extra bonuses is good sale for management. Because Milan must create better and better team year by year, and not stagnating.

        1. Yeah it depends on management of player. But imo tonalo could go for higher fee for today quality. Remember kessie went away for free to barcelona and awarded la liga winner. Maybe tonali could follow kessie and become epl winner 😀

  4. Armando Broja Would be fine IF he wasn’t coming off a major injury LOL.

Can’t take that risk with a 37 year old Giroud and a green and below average Columbo. Need more of a guarantee unfortunately
