AC Milan would like to sign more than one striker this summer and a profile like Albert Gudmundsson could arrive along with Alvaro Morata.
As has been reported by Gianluigi Longari for Sportitalia (via Milan News), the Rossoneri are considering added two strikers to the squad this summer with the assumption that Morata is the main one.
The Spanish striker would only cost €13m thanks to the release clause in his Atletico Madrid contract, so there could be room in the budget for another forward and the other positions that the club wants to address.
With players sales being one of the deciding factors, Longari reports that Milan could look for a second striker with a profile like Genoa’s Albert Gudmundsson who had a great Serie A season in 2023/24.
He has come close to joining the likes of Fiorentina and Inter in the past and there is a feeling that Inter will sign him once they have sold some players.
If we forget the name and focus on the profile, that would be a forward with less prominence than Morata and who could play in more than one decision, whilst being one of the backups to the Spaniard who is still at Euro 2024.
Though he’s 27, he’s interesting. Had 16 goals and 4 assists last season. Not a first choice for me, but I can’t say much bad about him. Pinamonti may also be affordable. He had a great last season despite Sassuolo being relegated.
There’s no way our 2nd striker costs more than our 1st.
I would rather get Chiesa who can play the same position and would be cheaper. Plus he is younger and better according to me. Gudmundsson might not perform as good without Motta.

Why not use the money they are saving not bringing Zirkzee in and spend on David. He is young, technical, can create on his own, and has pace. Im Canadian so I am biased but he should be the target as well as Morata.

As an Icelander I feel I have to comment. Anyone can charge a player with sexual assault here, blocking a multimillion transfer, thus forcing a settlement even for no (real) offence.
There is EVERY incentive for the accuser (and her unknown lawyer that uses every opportunity to get her unknown face in the paper) to capitalize here.
Charges have been dropped once already but picked up again. Charges have not been publicized. So until some details surfice, I assume this is a golddigger. If you get a million euros and 200k followers why not?

I have watched almost every Milan game past 3-4 years. Only once do I remember a man beiing as tightly man marked as Tomori marked him. He followed him everywhere even deep to the opposite side if Genoa had a goal kick.
He is proven in serie A, he can create, score and if he comes I will fly to Milan to witness it 😆

His style of play reminds me of Cassano. Intelligent little dribbles ,passes and shots. Not so much intensity but good accuracy. He’s ideal off a CF but can do a nice job on LW, so when Leao starts with his inconsistency, he’ll at some point, this guy can keep him on the bench.
