AC Milan could reinforce their attack ahead of next season and one of the names that have been mentioned is Dusan Vlahovic; rumours that have been fueled after a phone call from Max Allegri.
Milan had some ups and downs in the No.9 role last season, starting the season with Alvaro Morata before giving the likes of Tammy Abraham, Luka Jovic and Santiago Gimenez a go. While the last of the four will remain for next season, the others are set to leave.
As a result, the Rossoneri might need to have a look at the transfer market for a reinforcement. Seeing as they will play in just two competitions next season, Serie A and Coppa Italia, relying on just two strikers should be enough.
According to Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, Vlahovic is indeed a name that has been discussed by Allegri and sporting director Igli Tare lately, with Juventus keen on getting him off the accounts. However, a deal remains very difficult.

Allegri has a very good relationship with the Serbian and even made a phone call to talk about the future recently. That being said, Fenerbahce have offered big money to Juventus (€30-35m) as well as the striker (€10m per year), making it difficult for Milan to enter the race.
Furthermore, as alluded to there, the salary remains a huge issue and that’s also why the Bianconeri are so keen on selling the player. For the numbers he has produced, he has simply been too expensive for the Turin side over the years.
When I remember, Juventus also wanted to get rid of Matri. Let’s buy all the scraps from Juventus to help them out a bit with the budget. They need money to build a strong team for next season. Vlahovic, Locatelli, Cambiasso, McCain… We need to buy all of these, because Allegri wants them, and he has worked with them and knows them. He won two fourth places with them.
Brotha who’s McCain?😂
I have no idea, someone with that or a similar name plays there 🤣
This only makes a bit of sense if Allegri is going to deploy his 352. Say goodbye to Leão and Pulisic.
Pulisic can play in every formation. Leao on the other hand…
True, but with Santi and Dusăn in the squad Pulisic would have to play wide which he isn’t as good at. He’d play LWB which requires a lot of running and physicality which he doesn’t have. He is too technically gifted to waste energy chasing guys around just to whip crosses in. At least that’s I see Allegri utilizing him. I see why Pulisic wants more assurances before signing a new deal.
3-5-2 is the formation of the future. Otherwise, the best teams in Europe play in that formation and win trophies. That’s why Allegra needs to bring in players for 3-5-2, and sell Leao and Pulisic because they don’t fit into that formation. With all that huge money, we can buy players for 3-5-2.
Dunno, depends on the scenario and squad composition.
PSG (back 4) wiped the floor against Inter (3-5-2) recently in the biggest club game.
Playing with the best formation is never a 100% guarantee to win a match, even a novice in life knows other factors can interfere with performance despite one’s level of preparation, and a game of football is no exception.
No way, he’s similar to Gimenez.
If Allegri intends to play with two strikers, then we must get Lorenzo Lucca, he’s the ideal profile to be the main striker to be supported by either Pulisic or Gimenez.
Lucca brings a completely different dynamics to make a two-striker system work, plus he’s not expensive and his age is perfect.
Side note:
Not sure it’s a great idea to try having Dušan Vlahović and Granit Xhaka (supposedly also wanted by Allegri) in the same team… Not even sure how well Granit Xhaka will do with our own Strahinja Pavlović.
The players are professionals and do not care about the nationality of other players.
Go watch some of the last games between Serbia and Switzerland.
Yes, because politics and the press pump them with nationalism. In the clubs, everyone is ok. and tame, because they are far from the Balkan werewolves.
I hope the news of our link to Ter Stegen is real, would be an upgrade to Maignan.
Not that Vlahovic’s signing is something that excites me particularly, but noticing that currently even a club like Fenerbahce – with all due respect – has more firepower than Milan is something to me at least… PAINFUL.
