Paulo Fonseca’s position remains strong and rather than parting ways with the manager, AC Milan are willing to let him lead a revolution. According to a report, there could be some significant changes between January and June.
Fonseca didn’t exactly sugarcoat his words after the narrow 2-1 win against Red Star Belgrade, making it clear that he would use Futuro and/or Primavera players if needed. Indeed, he believed the attitude wasn’t worthy of Milan, which most can agree on.
As reported by Daniele Longo, the Milan management supports the manager and have no intention of parting ways. As such, with first Pioli and now Fonseca identifying the same attitude issues, the Rossoneri are willing to let the manager lead a revolution.
In short, this could start in January and continue in the summer, with the likes of Davide Calabria, Theo Hernandez, Fikayo Tomori, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Noah Okafor and Samuel Chukwueze all hanging on by a thread. Or at the very least, departures are concrete options for them.
Calabria, the captain of the team, has never bonded with Fonseca and his departure is certain, though it’s not clear if it will be in January or in the summer. As for Hernandez, he already seems set on the idea of leaving – with or without the renewal – as Man Utd and Bayern Munich are interested.
Tomori has struggled to get consistent playing time this season and a return to the Premier League is always looming, while the same can be said for Loftus-Cheek. Finally, an eye should also be kept on Noah Okafor who could leave already in January in the event of a good offer.
And soon we’ll start b*tching how the management fcked up and didn’t sell them already last summer. Who knew that everyone’s level (and market value) would sunk abysmally?
First people complained that Theo should never be sold and now they’ll complain we didn’t sell him. But the funny thing is… I never wanted Milan to sell him either. But now? Yeah, he’ll have a month to show he wants to improve and play for the team and if not, then GTFO.
STFU
Why would you want to watch players “play” (quotation marks because he’s not even trying) for Milan when they want to be elsewhere and don’t give a **** about the club/team? Has he been any good? What good has he done this season? You enjoy Milan being a midtable team with players who don’t give a **** how the matches end? Good for you. Enjoy your trophyless seasons with that approach.
LMAO 🤣 so lemme get this straight. You didn’t want Theo to be sold at all much less this summer and in 4 months thats completely changed. Forget the past 4 years that led up to that point. Wow incredible
You know what he’s worth, why not just wait it out ..this coach will go between now and the end of the season and his value will go back to previous levels
Or there’s more to like than money!
Yes exactly. If you’re gonna stop trying because you don’t like the coach, you are unprofessional. That is way below the standards of Milan, to say nothing of talent.
That’s a great point if it’s one players but with so many players having issues it’s kinda moot. in fact it’s gotten worse..I’m trying to think who has improved besides Deers and with him it’s more the second season bump/familiarity with the league
And yet the coach is currently being backed by management (not fired) while Calabria has not been offered a new contract, which expires in 6 months and Theo hasn’t either, despite playing last season and the season before that with master Pioli. Then Tomori has only had one good season in the three years he played under the same Pioli, Okafor has been lackluster under two coaches, as has RLC and Chukwueze. The only player to digress technically is Theo. Two different managers and the lame ducks are the same, with the exception of Theo, so it’s not the managers. And even Theo had spells where he just didn’t feel like being a footballer during the Pioli years and Pioli or Maldini or Ibra or somebody had to “intervene”. The dude had issues, it’s clear.
“I’m trying to think who has improved besides Deers” -Leao started cold, but over the last month has been playing at almost his highest level. Pulisic was playing great, Rijnders is fine, Fofana is fine, Gabbia and THIAW are the best CB pair (remember Thiaw last season?), while the strikers and right back are new.
Two managers and we still have the SAME issues with motivation and commitment to the cause from many of the same players. At this point the issue is that: attitude. We need to get rid of all players who do not want to fight for the shirt, regardless of the name on the back of that shirt.
To Vero Rossonero
The management that has managed to take the club backwards in 3 seasons?
(Assume we can all agree we’re going backwards – see league position).
@Vero Rossonero:
“-Leao started cold, but over the last month has been playing at almost his highest level. Pulisic was playing great, Rijnders is fine, Fofana is fine, Gabbia and THIAW are the best CB pair”
And yet we’re 7th, tied with 8th, out of the scudetto race and probably out of the race for UCL spot as well, that means something isn’t going well, right ?
Btw, Pulisic WAS playing great, then Fonseca decided he wants him as a CAM and put Chukwueze/Musah as RW, so now we neither have a CAM neither a RW.
What standards do Milan have?
We change squad every few months and sign a load of players from mid-table teams in foreign leagues whilst turning on our longest serving players and actively discriminating against our youth players.
Oh and we fired and backgrounded a former club legend who returned the club to glory.
Sounds like the standards of a mid-table team to me.
This.
After a season like this – even if Sacchi came to coach us – he will definitely want to leave. He wanted to leave already last summer and – like I said – after a season like this, he’s never going to be the same Theo he used to be in Milan.
“You didn’t want Theo to be sold at all much less this summer and in 4 months thats completely changed.”
Unlike you I don’t want to live in the past. When a player wants to leave it’s better to let him leave. He doesn’t care about the team/club anymore and will never be the same Theo he once was (for us).
“Forget the past 4 years that led up to that point. ”
LOL. So… Let’s get Giroud & Zlatan back. They were insane 4 years ago. Let’s go back to that. Let’s get Kessie & Tonali back too. And Krunic. Why? Because we won the scudetto with that squad and we should have never changed, right? Living that year over and over again would be awesome. No need to worry about tomorrow as 4 years ago everything was perfect.
Guess what, THINGS CHANGE.
Exactly💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
They should add Emerson Royal, Pavlovic and Musah to that list as well. I don’t know how they signed these players.
I think Pavlovic has potential, next Jaap Stam, but for sure next RB is needed because Royal is funny guy , not footballer just funny guy.. this season is already lost. If they want to start building new stronger team, I’m okey because more then half of the players is missing grinta and respect to this club…When you see a playere who play for Real or Barcelona, you can see they want to give everything to their clubs. You can see it evety match , every season they play in CL and for tittle in domestic league..
Next who? Lmao… Pavlovic isnt good , Emerson isn’t good , Fonseca isn’t good.
Not only they should be added but an investigation should be open on why they were purchased (especially Royal) and someone from the management should probably go to jail for this !!
Another revolution!
Please I’m pleading for Fonseca to allow Theo Hernandez he is our key player and he can get it right Acmilan should retain him but for Loftus cheek, tomori and Okafor the are free to go. But Acmilan should give chukwueze only this December if he did not get things right then January will sell him and replace him with Berardi or edon zhegrova
We never needed a revolution. Just 3 key signings.
And here we are.
And the buffoons running the club are gonna do said revolution.
Ffa they’re the clowns who brought these players in.
Isn’t another batch gonna be just more of the same?
And fonseca leading it? He couldn’t lead a bunch of preschool kids across a street
Incelturle :))
1st only 3 were brought by them… The amount of time Fonseca uses Chukwueze and since his price was higher than RLC or Okafor, he’s safe. RLC is $hit, so more power to Fonseca…
Theo will bounce back, the rest of the clowns can leave, even more if Tomori let’s Tonali re-join in the summer…
Let’s just make Kelechi manager!!!
Fifa boy who doesn’t know what incel means..
Guess all you know are speed and pace stats on fifa
When did Pioli highlight attitude issues from his squads?
I wouldn’t trust Fonseca to lead a potluck at the local rec hall, much less build a strong cohesive squad. He wants to replace squad with guys like Emerson, Belahayne, etc. He can kick bricks. Hopefully before we sell all our key players and replace them with cheap alternatives
Disappointed from this web site, how much gerry paying you??
He froze out the club captain when he arrived (and replaced him with Emerson Royal) and now he’s frozen out the vice captain.
And presumably he’ll freeze out Maignan for posting messages of support.
We’re down to about 3 players at the club who have actually won anything.
More correlations…
The more a fan demands loyalty and professionalism from players the less loyalty and fandom they show to the players…..
“Oi [player who I want sold in the next transfer window] show some respect!”
I think this is Overblownzero evidence for this articl3.. theo isnt going IMO… this is a bit from the leao playbook…
Lets chill…
Many journalist like this level of articles, create drama, just destabilize the team….create deception…its just click bait!
Fonzy to lead a revolution. That’s a new low for this club.
Wow!,Fonseca will do well.I love the courage he has.God will help him and the club.
Of God needs to help him then we’re double screwed
Trash management = trash results
