The season has only just ended for Christian Comotto, returning from his loan at Spezia, but it seems there may already be a next destination mapped out for him.
After an impressive pre-season with Milan’s first team last summer, Comotto joined Spezia on a season-long loan. Some were sceptical about the move at first, but the 18-year-old quickly carved out a role in the squad, even starting quite a lot of games towards the end of the season.

Safe to say, this didn’t go unnoticed in the calcio world and there has even been talk of Comotto remaining with Milan’s first team for the 2026-27 season. To know anything on that front, however, the Rossoneri must first appoint a sporting director and a manager.
Nesta makes his request
In the meantime, several clubs are probing the ground for Comotto and the most concrete option appears to be Avellino. A few days ago, it was reported that Alessandro Nesta – the manager of the Serie B side – wanted the Milan starlet for next season.
That hypothesis has now received further confirmation from Daniele Longo, who is reporting that Nesta has asked Avellino to bring in the midfielder. Seeing as it’s a direct request and not just a suggestion, it feels like a deal could get over the line.
Then again, depending on what happens at Milan, they might want to keep him in the squad…

Remember Merkel, Strasser, Oduamadi, Valoti, Mastour. All hailed to be the next big thing or at least that’s the fairytale they fed us when we were broke. All long forgotten. From this crop of talented ones, my biggest hope is Comotto. Torriani also but they just wasted a year of his development, leaving him to rot on the bench.
Who predicted that for/about Merkel and Strasser, Oduamadi and Valori? Comotto, Liberali, Camarda.
