Longo: Milan had €17m agreement in place for Musah – the background

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan has been linked with Valencia midfielder Yunus Musah quite a lot this summer and they are still interested in the American. According to a report, the Rossoneri nearly reached an agreement recently.

Milan have completed the signing of Tijjani Reijnders, with just the medical and contract signing missing, but they still want one more midfielder. Musah appears to be the main target and the Rossonri are expected to try again.

According to Daniele Longo, Milan had an agreement in place with Valencia at €13m plus €4m in bonuses. Then, at the last second, Valencia’s president decided to ask for more money and the talks were put on hold.

Milan will have new talks with Valencia on Monday, per the journalist, and it remains to be seen if common ground can be found. It’s clear, however, that the Rossoneri are keen on signing the American before the window closes.

  1. Valencias owner is a certified clown. Clearly he just thought a last second increase would work, idiot. We can probably just wait it out cuz Valencia desperately need to sell players, and we shouldn’t just cave in when we already had an agreement in place and he tried to snake it

  2. Give him 15M + bonuses to hit 20M and sounds like this deal gets done.

We will get this done. He’s American and Gerry wants to market Milan in the USA. He needs more than just Pulisic to do that. Throw in Balogun as well and we have the dream marketing campaign Gerry wants

    1. As long as the US players are actually worth signing, unlike Dest. Which Musah seems legit, Pulisic if he stays healthy. But more popularity and exposure stateside won’t hurt.
