Longo: Milan secure left-back for summer but will make €3m offer in January

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan have reached an agreement in principle with Real Betis left-back Juan Miranda, whose contract will expire in the summer. However, as several reports claim, he could arrive as early as January.

The news first broke earlier this evening, stating that the Rossoneri are closing in on a contract agreement with Miranda. The latter is at the top of the wish list for the deputy left-back role and has been followed by Milan for quite some time.

As added by Daniele Longo this evening, Giorgio Furlani and Geoffrey Moncada intend to table an offer of €3m plus bonuses in January. They are hoping that Real Betis will accept the offer, knowing that Miranda has agreed to join Milan in the summer anyway.

The 23-year-old would be a great addition to the squad and getting him in January would be a boost, seeing as Theo Hernandez has looked rather tired as of late. The Frenchman will have to hold the fort for now, though.

  1. We are not allowed to negotiate a contract with him until January unless Betis gave us the permission to do so. That would be tampering. Everyone does it though.

    1. They need to also give him a proper sub. He’s the least subbed player in the team because of no proper backup. Someone said we have his successor in the academy lol 😂 ..That successor never seems to play smh. And here we are looking for a new LB in January while Barca takes out Cancelo for Yamal in the el Classico

  2. Last time Theo had somewhat proper back up at LB, Ricardo Rodriguez was still wearing Milan jersey. Hopefully this kid is good and can allow Theo a breather but also a competition

    1. Apparently the plan is to end Bartesaghi‘s career as soon as possible or push him to play for our rivals.

And when he plays against us in the semi-finals of the champions league and his team wins we’ll bemoan the fact that we don’t have a back up LB…..
