Longo: Milan expected to reward Krunic with one-year renewal and pay rise

By Isak Möller -

Rade Krunic has been a crucial player for AC Milan at the start of the season, playing in the No.6 role, and he was one of the best against Roma last night. As a result, he’s set to receive a pay rise.

The Bosnian was heavily linked with a move to Fenerbahce during the summer but the Tirkish side never offered enough. Furthermore, Stefano Pioli made it clear that the midfielder is very important for Milan.

The manager was right, as Krunic has been one of the best players for the Rossoneri at the start of this season. According to Daniele Longo, he should be rewarded with a one-year renewal (current deal expires in 2025) and it will also include a pay rise.

It’s believed that the new salary could be around €2.2m per year, which would be double what he currently earns (€1.1m). Fenerbahce were reportedly willing to offer around €3m but as said, they never offered the transfer fee needed to convince Milan.

Given the start to the season, Krunic certainly deserves this pay rise.

  1. Fair play to rade, he has been under criticism from fans (including me) and proved us wrong, beautiful to see so far this season as he’s been perfect so far (3/3) and is looking like our own Lobotka. I know people will laugh at some people like me who doubted Krunics ability but as Milan fans who want the best for Milan we want to be proved wrong if it is beneficial to our club. Forza Milan ❤️🖤

  2. At this stage in Krunic’s career, a raise is deserving and at 2.2m yearly we won’t find such a player who is fully integrated and respected in the squad.
All the criticism he receives is really unjustified even though the management do have to get a long term starter in his position, even with Bennacer coming back.

  3. He was always third choice in all pos, from the start (2019-2020). But he prove everyone wrong with his growth. The most powerful prove is this match vs AS Roma at Olimpico.

Krunic showed his “Football IQ” at that match. Now he deserved to compete with Bennacer for Regista Role.

  4. Krunic deserves that respect, from the club by getting pay rise, and from some fans who tend to discredit him before, even though he rarely made fatal mistake and has been following coach’s instruction. No drama, just play. Maybe that’s why he is the golden boy of Pioli. Yes he is not Ngolo Kante nor Pirlo as DM. But he has done great job so far. I believe if he were playing at EPL, he would had costed at least 30 mil GBP, considering how absurd the transfer cost there lol.

      1. I hope you are not referring to me because i didnt oppose krunic staying with us in fact i dont think ive ever written a really negative comment about the bosnian.

        1. No no, i’ve complimented you as a fan in the past. I mostly agree with your points actually. You know which Martin I am referring to 😀

          1. Ok fair enough as i dont think i have been nasty in regard of krunic and was pretty much attacked from left and right for highlighting his importance to the squad. my apologies then Batsumi.

  5. Such an intelligent player on and off the ball. I always like to see how he moves on the field even when he doesn’t have the ball. And he’s also commanding and dictating/organizing players on the field on where to be. Was a joy to see 😁. He’s even getting better. Benny gonna have a hard time getting back to starting XI if this continues lol

  6. Radovan Kruniçovic.. he’s not so much the boogyman, he’s the one you send to mark the fuc#!ng boogyman. He once burst 3 balls in a single match with a pencil.
