Longo: Milan set price tag as clubs from abroad enquire about Rebic

By Isak Möller -

Ante Rebic has been linked with a couple of clubs in the last few weeks, despite a rather disappointing first half of the season. In fact, AC Milan have now slapped a price tag on the winger, a report claims.

The Croatian winger has featured in 14 games for the Rossoneri thus far, finding the back of the net three times. The feeling is that he can do a lot better and he will have a lot to prove in the second half of the season, that’s for sure.

According to Calciomercato.com, a few clubs from abroad have expressed their interest in Rebic and there was recently a meeting between Milan and his agent. During that meeting, it was decided that the 29-year-old’s price tag is €20m.

A January move could give the Rossoneri some money to invest elsewhere, most likely the right wing, but it remains to be seen if any of the clubs interested are willing to pay €20m. It seems unlikely, unfortunately.

  1. It’s obvious this is a “make us sell” price. I makes no sense to sell Rebic as he is essentially the primary backup for LW and ST. We have no one else at LW at the moment and ST is thin even when Ibra is fit. Meanwhile we have like four players who can play RW when everyone is fit, five if you include Brahim who has shown something at that position this season.

    1. Exactly. It wouldn’t make any sense to declare “Rebic is for sale at 10M€” just to get a 5-6M€ offers for him. That’s why you put a higher price.

And also… Like you said, IF Leao got injured who would take his place? Origi? LOL. That guy is made of paper.
