Theo Hernandez seems to have one foot out the door at AC Milan, with the summer mercato expected to heat up, and a price tag has now been decided.
Hernandez is one of the stars, along with Mike Maignan, whose contracts will expire next summer. Milan have been working on the contract situation for several months, but while talks are ready to restart for the goalkeeper, the same cannot be said for the No.19.

Milan and Hernandez are currently too far apart when it comes to the salary, with the player wanting a sizeable increase, and a summer move is thus on the cards. According to Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, the price tag was agreed during a meeting yesterday: €30m.

The left-back’s agent, Manuel Garcia Quilon, was present at Casa Milan yesterday to discuss the situation. The parties are still on relatively good terms, under the circumstances, and it has become clear that none of them want a free transfer next summer.
Meanwhile, reports are suggesting that the Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal have tabled a €20m offer for the Frenchman. Given the aforementioned price tag, this is not enough to close a deal and the player also wants to wait for European clubs to enter the frame.
While there are no doubts about the fact that a summer exit would be disappointing, given Theo’s importance over the year, it’s also important for Milan to bank something rather than nothing. On the flip side, the renewal situation could have been taken care of earlier…

Give him what he ask and keep. Milan will really miss him.
No player in his caliber out there.
Even if it will two yrs extension and sell him for higher price next season
Why would he sign that?
Thank you…
Frankly, when it comes to the contracts of theo and mike,Mike, club haven’t been really fair to them. If you can’t give him the salary he ask for ,the worst is to just match negotiate using his old salar but our people rather chose to reduce it given that they’ve been integral member in our team or one of tge most important players we have..
It will be a great loss to us..there are few players like him in this modern football and market.
Our board had to come again on him and mike.
30M€ for an uninterested player with motivation issues and 1 year left would be more than enough. Too bad he’s not willing to stay as it would have been interesting to see him playing with 100% attitude (I assume Allegri wants from his players).
We saved him once from Madrid and we can him him once more… keep him, he’s an amazing left back…
30M for Theo???? LOLOLOLO
What a JOKE.
Let Max work with him and he will be up over 60M by mid season.
What the hell can we buy for 30M?? Keep him and get him back to his former levels. He was one of the top LB in the world a mere season ago. You don’t give up on such a player, especially a player who is still on his PRIME and wants to stay. Work with him and he will repay us in spades.
the capital gain buzzer squad will flood this forum by say he’s done, bad attitude, missing Maldini bla bla..
they don’t care who’s Theo, what he can do & done 4 us just while ago, ignoring that he play w/out rotation/ backup & no complain..
why they want to get rid Theo even more than Royal is beyond crazy,
he’s the only LB we’ve while Jimenez, Salad, Sottil, Tomori even youth players can play better RB than Royal
We can bring back Constant from retirment
Here’s what you need to take into account. Giving him the salary would be bad for the locker room after his outburst this season. Second 1 year left for a good player isn’t bad business Frimpong is leaving for 30 mil and he had more yrs. There’s no guarantee he’ll thrive like he did finding that motivation. With that money we can get Miranda from Bologna
One year left and have big salary. Logically choices was sold him this summer. No European football next summer, Alex Jimenez would become starting lineup. Slim your wage budget. Smart choice
While I appreciate that he does not want to leave as a free agent, the time has come to part ways. If he really wants to stay, he should sign a contract with a proposed salary by Milan. He knows that we won’t be playing in Europe and knows what that means to the budget and still asking for 7m. Thank you, next.
Yall need to stop living in 2022. He’s not thatvolayer anymore, hasn’t been for a while. The guy cant even be motivated to track back as a DEFENDER. Better to get 30mil that can instantly cover all of Riccis transfer fee than to lose for free like kessie and dollaruma. We all wish we could’ve had the Theo of his first 3 seasons, but he clearly doesn’t want to be anymore
People saying he’s an amazing left back. He can’t mark or track back anymore. He shouldn’t be in that position anymore. He should be playing higher up but then there’s no room for leao and Theo as it messes up the rest of the team. Attitude stinks. He falls over all the time. More focused on his hair than winning. Majority of times he takes corners over pulisic which is baffling. And even France don’t want to play him anymore. from recent coaches it just looks like Theo and leao are unwilling to change/listen to how the coach wants the team to play. Oh and that water cooling stage was the icing on the cake. He’s got to go and he should take his boyfriend leao with him.
It is easier to get rid of Leao than Theo at the moment. There are concrete interests for Leao from Arsenal and Bayern Munchen. Theo? Only Al-Hilal lol. No European clubs give half a damn about the LB.
Av yttersta vikt att både Theo och Mike säljs. Deras peak har varit och nu sämre och sämre vare säsong
He is free next season and the clubs who can afford his wage demands know Milan won’t meet them. They have no interest in signing him this year. Last summer is when he needed to go. Davies resigned in Munich.
Manchester United might consider him, but why give 40 million and double their cost when including his wage package for one extra season? They can address other areas instead.
That is why we lost players for free. Left everything up until it was too late. The cat is out of the bag that he is as good as gone. The only other alternative is signing him to a bridge deal with bonuses getting him up to his requested wage. He would only accept to do us a favour.
Yep, we need to be selling when two years are left on a deal. A year ago, after the Euros, he was a 60-80M player. All power shifted to him at that point and now I don’t think we’ll get anything.
Personally, I think we need to have a good last season together. He needs to prove his reputation so he can earn big in 12 months and we need a top class left-back that we won’t be able to sign an instant replacement for.
You have to have a deal done before the last season on a contract or sell, especially when you cannot replace the player with an equal counterpart. We dropped the ball as always.
They are better off just matching his wage demands then sell…
First of, I don’t believe this news.
Allegri was all praise for him and Leao a few days ago, no way he would sanction his sale.
New coach, new motivation, they would not be in a hurry to leave until they see what Allegri has to offer.
Great news!
Now go get Calafiori.
Thank you!
PS. By the way, buy Tonali for Reinders sale.
Sell Musah and RLC –> Get Ricci.
No need to infuse any outside money.
Even what Al Hilal has offered isn’t good enough to let a player of that quality go. Whatever he is asking for is negotiable. Better to have him play from the center, than at the back. Not sure we can get a quality replacement for that amount, so why sell him. I think we need to change the way we play, and not depend on individuals. Hanson Flick, Luis Enrique, Xabi Alonso, have been able to get that right, at their respective clubs.
