Mile Svilar has ended up on AC Milan’s radar as technical director Geoffrey Moncada is taking precautions, seeing as Mike Maignan’s contract will expire in 2026.
Milan have been working on a renewal with Maignan for quite some time and while an agreement seemed close a while back, the white smoke never arrived. Once again, as such, there is uncertainty regarding his future and the Rossoneri might have to look at potential targets just in case.
According to Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, that is exactly what they have done as Moncada is keeping an eye on Roma’s Svilar. The 25-year-old has a contract until 2027 with the Giallorossi and renewal talks are ongoing, seeing as he currently earns just €1m.
The first talks between his agent and Roma, however, didn’t result in initial optimism as the latter were a bit surprised by the request of €4m per season. The feeling, as Longo continues, is that an agreement will be reached eventually but not now.
In the meantime, Milan as well as several Premier League clubs are keeping an eye on the Serbian, who was born in Belgium and thus has an EU passport. Moncada is a big fan of the goalkeeper but Roma value him at around €30m, which is high indeed.
The best Italian GK was from Milan bro. Bro MoneyYourBall Moncada didn’t realize….
Moncada ….😂 Why that clown still in the club….
Caprille is my choice if Maignan will be sold.
Don’t buy gk we our own
Creating a problem where there’s non. Typical RedBird.
I personally believe that roma will ask for 30m so instead of him put 5-10m more and get Chevalier. If not keep Maignan and buy Restes from Toulouse that played really well against Liverpool
