Alessio Romagnoli is, just like Franck Kessie, an important player that could leave AC Milan for free at the end of the season. Renewal talks have been ongoing for quite some time but there is no agreement.
The captain has played quite a lot for the Rossoneri this season, able to show his qualities due to the tight schedule and the injury of Simon Kjaer. He remains an important player for the Rossoneri but his future is still an issue.

So the logic is that he will leave Milan and sign for Lazio for the same amount because he was a boyhood fan? If he was 30 or more I’d say it sounds realistic. But being paid the same not to compete for trophies and not to play in CL doesn’t really sound like someone at his age would do.
There is different btw 2.8 and 3m…moreover it’s will be difficult for any player to want such decrease in salary from 5.5m to 2.8…I just believe the management just don’t want him anymore..and I’m saying good luck to him
2.8 + bonuses is different than 2.8. 😀 I’d say they don’t want to pay him more than he deserves and it is right. If Tomori gets 2M, Calabria also 2M, why would Romagnoli get more than 2.8M + bonuses? He is on the bench mostly and he will still get more. I don’t understand the logic and please don’t tell me because he had 5M, this management isn’t guilty for giving him such a ridiculous undeserved contract.
I don’t think that the reason,he want to stay but AC Milan management want him to leave due to give more space to botman – Tomori and they think Kjaer,gabbia,kalulu already enough for reserved CB. It is sad but Italian player tax are 100 percent from nett salary , i hope he stay because he always give his best for AC Milan but Lazio can give him 3m euro too
Milan offer that amount because Milan want he leave. It would not easy for him to be 4th choice after Kjaer, Tomori and Botman as captain. Milan also prefer to replace him with a younger profile.
He is still 27, still really young for a CB

This botman Milan are trying to get, might not be as good as we think…we know romagnoli have his own weakeness but he is solid and he knows the team….if the management force him out to get botman, there is possibiliy that we might regret it because the botman I watched his clip looks like another Acerbi, he is slow, predictable and not good on one on one….well we will see
Romagnoli and kessie is different case, Romagnoli got paycut kessie got pay rise but still doesn’t accept, milan would cut his pay by half, it’s understandable that he leave, he is the captain but he isn’t guarantee 1st pick, that’s also a problem
Don’t you guys think maybe Milan is even considering caldara for next season that’s why they doing this to Romagnoli and pobega for kessie because they both doing great for Venezia and Torino respectively
