Longo: Why Rebic is the favourite to start in Juventus-Milan despite Giroud return

By Isak Möller -

Following the 3-2 defeat at Liverpool, AC Milan will be looking to continue their winning streak in the league on Sunday evening. They will take on Juventus, who have had a very poor start with just one point collected.

In other words, you could argue that the Rossoneri are the favourites to win this time. The last time these two sites met, Milan won by three goals to nil in what was a convincing first win at Allianz Stadium.

On Sunday, Milan are likely to be without their star Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Furthermore, as reported by Daniele Longo, Olivier Giroud is struggling with back pain and might not make it from start.

In fact, Ante Rebic is the favourite to start up front and that isn’t a total disaster, taking his recent performances in mind. With the Rossoneri’s new style of play, the Croat has actually done well in that role, unlike last season.

    1. pietro is not ready yet. that kid is not fit, and was transferred last minute. being a solo CF, he needs time to integrate into new team.

thou i think its best to subs in him last 30 minutes into the game. Messias too. we might see a new star in the making

  1. We need to buy young and promising strikers. Not old men

Giroud and Ibrahimovic are fantastic players, but are speedily declining

  2. I love what Maldini and the crew is doing.

A mixture of established, growing and aged players.

With time, and proper integration, the team will attain great balance.
