Leao has been widely discussed among the Milan fans since the game against Juventus. The No.10 missed two good chances, one of which was a 1v1 with the keeper, and he didn’t look all that convincing in the defensive phase either.

This season has been described as a make-or-break one for the former Lille man, who needs to show that he can perform consistently. Furthermore, the work rate is something Allegri is hoping to ‘fix’, but ultimately everything hinges on the player himself.
In his latest editorial for MilanNews, Andrea Longoni shared his thoughts on the Leao situation. While some might see Allegri’s treatment as harsh, the journalist believes the manager is simply doing his duty: trying to get the best out of Leao.
“The Leao chapter. Many fans are outraged by this issue, acting as if it’s treason to even talk about. In reality, it’s the key issue for Milan. The team’s season could depend on the Portuguese’s performance.
“Allegri, who gets angry with Rafa, does so because he expects much more from him. It’s legitimate, it’s even his duty. Extracting more value from Leao is possible; there’s no doubt that there’s still a lot of untapped potential.
“We’re talking about a student who gets a 7 on his report card, but who could aim for a 9. If he raises his level, the team will automatically improve as well,” he writes.
He is a flop waste of money and waste of talent.

he won us the scudetto, without leao we would have never won the scudetto, sure he is wasting his talent for the last 2 years, but u can’t deny his impact in the scudetto season.
Leao has some deficiencies, sure, but to call him a flop and a waste of money is well beyond daft. The fella was instrumental in the scudetto season and was our top goal/assists contributor for several seasons while also winning the MVP in both Serie A and for Milan so how about you go and enlighten yourself before uttering such nonsense.

😀 well I wont lose my mind or get infected by any ones ignorance but maybe at least some people will learn from what I said or at least that is the best we can hope for. Leao has room for improvements in some areas of his game as he has so much to give but what John said certainly wasn’t the brightest thing I’ve read in SempreMilans threads.
To say that Rafa is a flop and a waste of money is beyond ridiculous. He didn’t play for a month and it would be crazy to expect him to make a difference right away. His quality is undeniable and Max is the right coach to launch Rafa’s true potential.
Does anyone needs to tell him to be a serious player at the age of 26..

It’s his job to try get the best out of Leao. Pulisic overtook him the most important player in the team but he still has the highest ceiling, I just don’t know if he has the mentality to take it to the next level, he seems like he still needs to be coddled which is not a good sign. But he did just come back so I don’t put too much on the Juve misses, let’s see what Leao shows up against fiorentina as he should start
