Longoni: Ibrahimovic ‘the king of Milano’ after all as Lukaku shows his true colours

By Isak Möller -

The infamous Coppa Italia clash between AC Milan and Inter back in 2021 has surfaced once again as a result of Romelu Lukaku’s recent shenanigans. Zlatan Ibrahimovic was the king after all, by the looks of it.

The game, which ended 2-1 in favour of Inter after extra time, got a lot of coverage due to Ibrahimovic and Lukaku’s brawl at the end of the first half. They butted heads and the Swede famously said ‘go do your voodoo shit’, while the Belgian responded along the lines of ‘I will f*k you and your wife’ (see the video here).

As highlighted by Andrea Longoni in his latest editorial for MilanNews, Lukaku and his agent flirted both with Milan and Juventus, contradicting himself as a ‘true Interista’. Inter rightfully dropped their entire pursuit of the striker, who showed his true colours and now is the bad guy.

But after the brawl with Ibrahimovic, he was described as the victim of the Milan man’s actions, when in truth they both said some ugly stuff. And Lukaku hailed himself as the king of Milano, but now he’s not even liked by the black and blue side of the city.

Ibrahimovic, after all, is the true king of Milano. It’s enough to compare his exit from Milan and Lukaku’s exit from Inter to understand that.
