The Algerian midfielder has got a more important role this season amid the departure of Franck Kessie. The additional playing time has certainly done him well as Milan now rely a lot on him in both phases of the game.
In his latest editorial for MilanNews, Andrea Longoni has stressed the importance of getting Bennacer’s renewal over the line as well. Rafael Leao has inevitably made the headlines, but the midfielder’s renewal is almost just as important.
Bennacer is the second-best player for balls recovered in the Champions League and when he’s on the pitch, he really dictates the play for Milan. His partnership with Sandro Tonali is also flourishing and Milan cannot afford to forget about the renewal.
Bennacer is the most complete player we have. He is our engine and our mind and out muscle.
If you dont see that and milan doesnt sign his renewal already then we are in a big big problem.

Agreed. It’s sad we are low balling him with a 3M offer when he is asking for 4M. We should jump at the chance to sign him for 4M and hurry up and get it done before he asks for more or another team jumps in. We have little leverage with this. Get this done ASAP
