Rafael Leao has announced that he wants to leave AC Milan this season, which was far from ideal, but Andrea Longoni believe that wasn’t the worst interview.
It was nearly two weeks ago that Leao confirmed that he wants to leave, stating that he’s ready for a new adventure in an interview with Portuguese TV. Of course, declaring that in public didn’t exactly put Milan in a great position from a price tag point of view.

Furthermore, with the Rossoneri already being in a chaotic situation (lacking a management), the timing certainly could have been better. However, it’s clear that the No.10’s tenure at the club had come to an end regardless of the interview.
Unnecessary comments
As commented by Andrea Longoni in an interview with MilanNews, the initial interview wasn’t actually the biggest problem. It was in the second interview that Leao went too far accoding to the journalist, making comments that were excessive and ‘out of place’.
“I think it’s right this way. A tenure has ended, but I’m not happy with how it was handled. There are other players who aren’t happy, but they have never spoken like this, running away.
“I even forgave him for his first interview, but his latest comments are excessive and out of place. What’s even more serious is that no one from Milan has said anything to him, a symbol of a club in extreme difficulty,” he stated.
He has no left food. No work rate. No aerial skills. Not a good finisher. Bad decision maker. Bad ball control. Bad shooter. And he hasn’t improved in any of these in years. I like him as a player but he’s delusional if he thinks he can be anything but a last 10 minute substitute in a top league.
Its not Leao fault this club was managed terribly. He trusted the management, he stayed, he believed that they will bring good players and improve the club, but instead they took the club backwards. They dismantled a young champion league semi finalist squad and created some moneyball squad where they kept reselling players destroying any stability in the club. Thru the years Leao who had world class potential ended up being played out of position, with no real CF to assist, to just wasting his potential in Milan. No wonder the guy got frustrated to such level. He got tired of Cardinale empty promises that literally wasted big part of his career, I don’t blame him.
Be quiet already fangirl. He shouldve been sold to Saudi 2 years ago. Hes been a lazy passenger whos only held the tema back for the majority of the past 2 seasons, only popping up when it was easy and then vanishing into lazy mediocrity again, all whilst being the higgest paid at the club. You have to actually WORK to realize potential. Hes just a less talented Ben Arfa. He was never willing to put in the work to become world class, its as simple as that. The actual world beaters dont give up and throw tantrums when things dont go their way. This is why leao will never be elite, and its why no big team in the world has come to get him. They want real champions, not toddlers
Obviously you are to dumb to understand what was written. You can have Young Messi and he will be worthless if you don’t play him in the right position with the right people around him.
Longoni is out for clicks on YT and even he is struggling for content. So back to talking about Leao. So predictable.
Didnt Jerry come out and say he wanted to sell Leao. Look criticizing Leao is ok but the owner is coming out and saying he wants to sell a player but what Leao said is too much. He still thinks we will win the super bowl
