In the last few days, Bologna star Nicolas Dominguez has been linked with a move to AC Milan. The Rossoneri are in need of midfielders and as it turns out, the Argentine is a direct request of Stefano Pioli.
Ismael Bennacer will be sidelined until the end of the year and Sandro Tonali has joined Newcastle. The midfield, therefore, needs reinforcing and the arrival of Ruben Loftus-Cheek is a good start. Tijjani Reijnders is also close to the club, but one more could arrive.
According to Andrea Longoni in his latest column for MilanNews, Valencia midfielder Yunus Musah is one of the players that could arrive in addition to Reijnders. However, Milan also have Bologna captain Dominguez on their radar.
The 25-year-old is a very hard-working midfielder and did well even against the big clubs this past season. He’s a direct request of Pioli, as per Longoni, and it remains to be seen if Giorgio Furlani will abide and try to bring in the Argentine.
Best option after Amrabat. Let’s get this done.

Especially if he’s cheaper than Reijnders or Musah, and given he’s familiar with Serie A already, this seems a very sensible transfer target.

Would be a great signing and make me a lot more comfortable about covering for Tonali. Probably not possible with Reijnders and Musah though.
As it stands the midfield does not have any form of creativity and signing Kamada could help and he is free. I see Pioli okaying the sale of Bennercer once he’s fit.
I think it’s because Pioli is focusing on a dry 433 without a CAM position but rather 2 controling positions (Krunic, Reijnders, Musah, Bennacer when fit) and box to box (RLC, Pobega maybe). When playing current system we have Pulicic and CDk that can play Cam role so I dont think Pioli still sees Kamada as an option, especially bcs he would take that precious non EU spot. Instead focussing on a good RW so we can attack from both wings rather than create creativity in the middle
Do we really have CDK that can play CAM? He can barely play full stop.
But from the news here Pulisic was touted to play in AMC position replacing Diaz. So still, I can’t see Pioli would change his formation. And with that and all, the right decision for CdK might be just to sell him while he’s still on 4th year of contract. We just can’t have our most expensive players (since the Elliot – Red Bird era) sitting on the bench.
And there’s no lead on him being adjusted to other positions (such as RW, as many of members here suggested).
I see us rotating in those 2 systems. the current (which imo doesn’t work anymore because we need a type à la Kessie, who can cover up for Theo all the time and still does his other duties, not many have this skill, lucky us we got away with it this year) where Pulisic’ versatility will come in handy and we can still rely on Cdk showing some confidence & eagerness. The other system, dry 433, on the other hand, would maybe solve or Kessie problems, as we would have a midfielder that can focus on one side and another midfielder that can focus on the other side, that would become more attacking as well, Loftus could help fill the gaps they leave behind. Attacking from both wings Loftus could be a threat given his posture coming in the 16.
I am not a mindreader ahah, it’s just my thoughts.
After all, Pulisic played more of his matches at the wings, RLC I can still remember his period with crystal palace where he destroyed everyone playing as box to box. also the transfers we want: no more Kessie, Fofana kinda players which are crucial if you want to continue this path. Now we want a balkeeper (Reijnders) and another player that can focus on a side (Musah), idk I don’t see them play in our system as it is
This guy should be signed, especially if we can get him for less than €15m. Heard that Bologna wanted Balo Toure, give him+5m for Dominguez.

Finally a Serie A proven player! No more La Liga players. We have a bad track record – Torres, Castillejo, Jose Mari, Redondo, Suso, Krikic, Contra etc. It’s a big list of failures. La Liga is too slow. Players from the EPL (not cripples) or France probably adapt the best.

Get him and use that Bologna’s interest on Junior and Fode. Instead of focusing (and wasting time in negotiating) with the likes of Musah, we better finish the deal with this one and have him ready early of pre season. And also we have enough of those potential players, coming from other leagues. We need someone who already knows the league and making impact directly to the team, less adaptation times needed.
