Lorenzo reacts to AC Milan’s 2-1 win against Pisa straight after the full-time whistle. The Rossoneri made things unnecessarily difficult for themselves, as has happened so many times this season.
Milan stepped onto the pitch for the first time in ten days at Arena Garibaldi, having got some extra rest due to the rescheduled Como clash. The Rossoneri were out for revenge after the 2-2 draw in the reverse fixture and initially, it seemed it would be an easy game.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek gave them the lead before the break, and a penalty was won relatively early in the second. However, Niclas Fullkrug missed and that allowed Pisa to get back into the game, eventually finding the equaliser.
In the end, Luka Modric had to step up and rescue his side, named the MOTM thanks to the late winner. Then again, as Lorenzo highlights in his post-match reaction, it never should have been that difficult for Milan.

There’s no excuse for Fullkrug missing that PK, but three Pisa players were clearly in the box and closing before Fullkrug touched the ball. Wouldn’t that be cause for a re-kick?
Had the gk saved, then yes.
But since he sent it wide, noreplay.
