Lucas Hernandez lifts lid on mood in France camp ahead of Theo vs. Pavard derby battle

Despite the fact that the game is still 10 days away, anticipation is continuing to build ahead of the first derby of the season between AC Milan and Inter.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) sent correspondent Alessandro Grandesso to Clairefontaine where the French national team are currently gearing up for their games against Ireland and Germany.

Milan striker Olivier Giroud spoke to the journalist – albeit only briefly – but he also managed to get some comments from Lucas Hernández, the PSG defender and older brother of the Rossoneri’s left-back Theo.

The coming Inter-Milan derby will be something special for Theo too as it will be the first challenge against his friend Benjamin Pavard in a Milan derby.

“Theo and Pavard are friends. They tease each other a bit, but in moderation, at least when we are all together. I imagine that the tones are more provocative along the corridors leading to the rooms,” Lucas said.

Pavard joined Inter late in the window from Bayern Munich having previously been linked to Milan and even admitting that he would love to play in a derby alongside another of his friends Giroud.
