Lucchese 1-1 Milan Futuro: Hodzic scores again as Bonera’s side get another point

Milan Futuro got another point on the board in their maiden Serie C campaign as they drew 1-1 away from home against Lucchese on Monday night.

The Futuro got their first win of the league season in the last round as they beat SPAL 2-1 at home after a great second-half performance, so it was important to build on that away from home and to try stay away from the relegation zone.

Indeed, the game between Lucchese and Daniele Bonera’s side finished 1-1, the Tuscan side went ahead thanks to a goal from Saporiti before Hodzic got the equaliser to secure what was a good point for the Rossoneri.

They showed tenacity and character at the end of a balanced game and had chances to win it, even if over the course of the 90 minutes they did not dominate as they have done in some other games, falling behind after 15 minutes after a sustained period of pressure from the hosts.

They found an equaliser at the end of the first half with a second consecutive goal from Demirel Hodzic and a draw was a fair result at the end. The Futuro now have six points from seven games and the next match is Saturday 5 October – at 15:00 CEST – at home against Pianese.
