AC Milan managed to beat Lumezzane 7-0 in their first friendly of the pre-season today. After the game, the Serie C side’s manager Arnaldo Franzini revealed interesting details from his conversation with Stefano Pioli.
It was a comfortable game for the Rossoneri, taking the lead after just five minutes through Tommaso Pobega (Christian Pulisic assist). After that, it was game over for Lumezzane as Milan never took their foot off the gas.
After the game, Lumezzane manager Arnaldo Franzini was interviewed by TeleLombardia (as cited by MilanNews) who were looking for some big news from the 55-year-old. Much to their surprise, perhaps, he was very open about his conversation with Pioli.
“He told me they are trying to change, from what we read the 4-3-3 will be the formation. He’s buying players suitable for this type of game. Apart from the tactical discourse, it was a discourse on new signings, on how the new players are doing.
“And probably someone important will arrive, I think. From what I understood someone important is coming, I don’t know who. I think in attack, in my opinion, they will do something,” he stated.
The big signing in attack is probably Samuel Chukwueze, as Milan are currently in advanced negotiations with Villarreal for the player. He could also be referring to a striker, but the Rossoneri are not expected to spend that much on a No.9.
I really think Lacazette could be a good striker for the interim, and we can find someone down the line who is younger. Lacazette scores like crazy, and actually had a better record in the Premier League than Giroud did. But he’s not a tall striker.
He is linked with some Saudi club if i remember.
Surely we would offer something better.
“Money”
Nah if you only count his Arsenal days Giroud has a better record than Lacazette. At Chelsea he was mostly a supersub so that hurts his stats
Lacazette would be perfect but we won’t get him. Not sure who’s left. I’d even take someone like Iaenacho at this point because we can’t be starting the season with just Giroud and freaking Colombo.

Maldini rejected him and signed Origi as he was offered to us then on a free transfer.
Hugo Ekitike on loan with obligation to buy seems most likely option. Okafor would be solid options as well, but would think Lepzig would keep the transfer in house from Salzburg if it is going to happen
Hugo ekitike is overrated we don’t need him
Maybe they should still try and get Scamacca on paid loan with option. Roma are unable to close any deals for now due to their financial breach.
RBS strikers, simic, konate, koita all better then giroud in pressing system
