CM: Real Madrid eyeing Jimenez clause for Alexander Arnold’s deputy

Real Madrid are looking to have a mini-overhaul in defence and will restart their right-back situation. Trent Alexander-Arnold of Liverpool will be the star, but an AC Milan talent could be the deputy.

There have been persistent rumours about the Liverpool right-back leading up to the summer, and it seemed that a move for him could disrupt Los Blancos’ plans to turn to Milan for Alex Jimenez, however, this will seemingly not be the case.

In recent days, there were reports that the Rossoneri were becoming more confident about their ability to keep the defender for the foreseeable future, with a new plan coming into action. However, Calciomercato.com reports that the Madrid outfit are considering a move again.

The club are unwilling to renew Lucas Vasquez’s current deal, and with Dani Carvajal’s injury, there is a need for stability, so the Jimenez option is coming up once again, more so as Florentino Perez wants to keep the defender’s future under his control.

Talks will definitely take place this summer, but whether they will be positive from a Milan perspective remains to be seen. Nevertheless, the Diavolo are powerless in this position, so the ball is very firmly in the Iberian Peninsula.

  1. Great…we become a club who grow players for Real Madrid. Such a shame for such a historical ex big club like Milan…our mentality has shrinked year by year, in this moment we are irrelevant for big objectives and competitiveness…

  2. Milan needs to stop developing players for Real. Don’t buy anyone with contract like Giminez or Brahim Diaz.
