GdS: Maignan ‘more likely to go abroad’ with entourage working on potential Milan exit

It seems that it is going to be another summer of rumours about Mike Maignan leaving AC Milan, with the Frenchman considering an exit.

Before the season ended, reports suggested that Maignan needed two things to stay with Milan next season: Massimiliano Allegri’s continuance as the manager and a place in the Champions League. Neither of those occurred.

So, there is plenty of talk about what is next for the goalkeeper and it seems a move away from San Siro is on the cards again.

Maignan considering exit

Juventus, as reports stated, have an interest in his situation, with the Bianconeri looking to buy a new goalkeeper themselves. However, today’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport has essentially ruled out that idea.

As MilanNews relays, the goalkeeper is ‘more likely to go abroad’ due to his desire to play in the Champions League and the Rossoneri’s valuation of the goalkeeper. Indeed, it is believed that they will request at least €40 million, but it could be upwards of even €50m.

His entourage are working on a possible exit currently and when he returns from the World Cup, things will become clearer. Several teams seem to be ‘genuinely’ interested in the idea, so a move may happen.

However, the Diavolo consider him a key player for the present and future, so they will not let go of him easily. It a situation to watch, but Maignan’s mind is no longer 100% on Milan…

  1. Needs to be more then 50 million in my opinion. France will go far in this world Cup so we need to get 80+ million for him.

    1. Can you name 1 goalkeeper over 30 years old that cost over 50M? All time? You keep writing this nonsense on every article about Maignan.

      1. you think Milan will just keel over and cancel his contract so he can go for free, do you live on earth or caca land?

        1. No, I don’t think that. Can you read or you need lessons? Read again. Seems “caca land” (whatever that could be) is inside your head.

        2. But answer the question halfwit. You’re always pretending to be some guy that knows better but you’re always running when someone replies.

          A single one?

        1. Can you name 1? I don’t need stupid explanations. Just a single one. Or you think Maignan is the best goalkeeper in history and he should be the first one?

  2. If we are truly considering selling Maignan, then hopefully he has a fantastic World Cup to drive his price tag well over the €60M mark.
