It has been confirmed that AC Milan have added goalkeeper Mike Maignan to their squad for the Champions League knockout stages.
Maignan was not named as part of the original 23-man squad that Stefano Pioli picked prior to the first leg against Spurs which took place last month at San Siro but it was known at the time that he could be inserted at a later date.
Through their official website, UEFA have confirmed that Maignan is now part of Milan’s squad ahead of the return leg against Tottenham on Wednesday, as permitted by the regulation according to article 46.2 of the UEFA competitions code.
As a result, Ciprian Tatarusanu has been removed from the squad, while the former Lille man gears up for his first third appearance in the Champions League this season having returned recently after a calf injury that ended up keeping him out for five months.
