Maignan responds brilliantly when asked about PSG: “It doesn’t matter to me”

AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan gave a rather blunt response when asked for his thoughts on Paris Saint-Germain’s elimination from the Champions League.

Maignan walked off the field having arguably been Milan’s most decisive player last night as they drew 0-0 with Spurs to secure progress to the Champions League quarter-finals for the first time since the 2011-12 season.

The clean sheet was largely thanks to his incredible save on Harry Kane towards the end of the game, after which he was interviewed by beIN Sports about his and was asked about his thoughts on PSG’s elimination from the Champions League at the hands of Bayern Munich.

“It doesn’t matter to me at all, I’m at Milan (laughs). I don’t know what else I can say. Training in Paris? Yes, but that’s nine years since I left. I’m focused on my current club,” he said (via GFNF).

Maignan was at PSG as a youth player from 2009 to 2015 and signed his first professional contract in the French capital but would ultimately move to Lille where he became one of the best goalkeeper in the league, winning a league title and earning a move to Milan.
