CorSera: Maignan to return for Milan between Tottenham and Monza clashes

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan is expected to make his return to fitness somewhere between the matches against Tottenham and Monza, a report claims.

As has been reported by Corriere della Sera (via Milan News), the French goalkeeper is working hard to be back from injury as soon as possible in February.

He has been sorely missed by the team with Ciprian Tatarusanu a clear drop-off from the quality that Maignan provides both in goal and for the defence generally.

He is trying his best to be in goal for the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 against Tottenham Hotspur on February 14.

If that match is deemed too risky, then the following game is a Serie A clash against Monza and that could be where he is seen between the sticks again.

His return date has been pushed back regularly which means many fear the same could happen again.
