MN: Latest on injured players as Maignan, Saelemaekers and Calabria return to Milanello early

By Oliver Fisher -

Some more information has arrived regarding the recovery of the AC Milan players due back from injury after the current winter break.

MilanNews report that Mike Maignan and Alexis Saelemaekers have been at Milanello for a couple of days already to complete their preparations for the resumption of training which is scheduled for Friday afternoon.

The resumption of training will begin with a mandatory lunch at the training centre, and the report adds that there are good feelings about the condition of the goalkeeper and the winger.

Davide Calabria postponed his holidays by a week to complete his rehabilitation work, so he will return to Milanello on Friday while Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Alessandro Florenzi will continue their therapy work, following the schedule drawn up by the Rossoneri medical staff.

What it means, of course, is that Stefano Pioli can look forward to having a much deeper squad at his disposal compared to the last few games before the break, particularly on the right flank.
