AC Milan have posted a video starring Mike Maignan in which he gave some brief words regarding the magnitude of the derby versus Inter.
Maignan was of course the hero of the last derby triumph alongside the goal scorer Christian Pulisic, as he saved a penalty in the second half to preserve the eventual 1-0 scoreline. The captain – who has also renewed his contract since – knows all about the pressure of the big nights.

Ahead of the derby at the weekend, Milan posted a video on Instagram with some words from Mike Maignan, describing his feelings when the match takes place.
“You’ve worked all week, you’ve worked all your life to be here. All you need to do is hear the stadium, all you need to do is hear the coach, everything changes in your head and then you go. It’s all a question of adrenaline,” he said.
“The coach is already pumping us up, and you’re already pumped up. You arrive and see your fans and then the opposing fans booing you. You’re not afraid, but there’s the adrenaline of picking up the ball and going.”
