Mike Maignan is expected to take Ciprian Tatrusanu’s place on AC Milan’s Champions League list in time for the second leg against Tottenham Hotspur, a report claims.
As has been reported by Tuttosport (via Milan News), the French goalkeeper is soon going to be back between the sticks for the Rossoneri and that spells the end of Tatarusanu’s time as number one.
He started the first leg against Tottenham at San Siro which ended 1-0 to Milan but the club think that Maignan will be fit to start the second leg in London.
That is why, as per the regulations, he will take Tatarusanu’s place on the squad list that is submitted to UEFA.
Maignan has been out since before the World Cup but he could make his return as early as the game against Atalanta on Sunday.
Next weekend’s game away at Fiorentina is the most likely return date for him though.
