AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan has revealed that he is ‘very happy’ at the club, and joked that he was able to park his car as planned at San Siro before the 4-0 win over Lazio.

Maignan has shared a funny story on social media about what happened before the game against Inter, revealing his confusion about not being allowed to park his car in the usual spot because it was the Nerazzurri’s ‘home’ game. He spoke to Milan TV after the Lazio win (via MilanNews).

Were you able to park at San Siro? “This time yes (smiles). The last game was different, now everyone has understood that I have to park my car.”

On his relationship with the fans: “Very good. I saw all the energy and enthusiasm of the fans. They are always with us and this is an important thing.”

With him and Giroud, it’s a French-style Milan: “There is a bit of France, but teamwork is more important. Italians or Frenchmen make no difference, we have to play as a team.”

On the injury: “When I came back I struggled to get back into the rhythm in the game and in training, I had lost a bit of confidence. But with the work of every day I am returning to my level.”

Maignan was also interviewed on Sky (via MilanNews), and commented on the success against Lazio: “I’m very happy, as I said before, I arrived here and I’m fine. Everyone welcomed me well, I’m very happy.”

On Giroud: “Everyone knows Oli, he’s a great player in the area and very good in front of goal.”

On the objectives: “I want to do the best I can, Milan is a club that always plays at the top of the table. We want to give everything.”
