Mike Maignan has stated that he is ‘very happy’ after signing his contract renewal with AC Milan until 2031.
The long-awaited news became official last night as Maignan put pen to paper on a new multi-year extension. A few months ago such an outcome seemed unthinkable, but talks progressed positively particularly in recent weeks.

It was back in December that La Gazzetta dello Sport broke the news about a turning point in the negotiations between the club and the Frenchman. Maignan did a U-turn thanks to the work of Massimiliano Allegri and the goalkeeping coach Claudio Filippi.
Having signed his five and a half year contract, Maignan spoke to the club’s official channels and a teaser of the full interview was published last night, with his comments relayed by MilanNews.
“I’m very, very happy. It’s a renewal we’ve been waiting for for a long time: it took patience, but we got it. I’m very, very happy. I’m happy in Milan, with my family too,” he said.
“I wish many good things for the Milan fans and for my family too. I want more trophies, more successes. I’ll be here with my family for another five years. To all the Rossoneri fans: look, I’m still here! Forza Milan.”

He’s been under paid for too long.
Should have been renewed years ago on wage that matches his world class level.
Why??? That would have meant less money to get superstars such as Nkunku & Estupinan. Why should teams pay more to their players than they have to? A club run by a guy like you would go bankrupt in less than a season.
Remember when we massively overpaid the legend called Origi. That went really well, eh? ALLLLLWAYS a great idea to pay a helluva sum of cash to every player. The more the better, right?
“Superstars” lol
For more trophies , Milan is not the best place for you in this case. Milan have no big ambitions. Milan are pleased with a spot in CL
