CM: Maignan could miss the whole of January as Milan ponder taking quick action

AC Milan may be forced into action in the transfer window as the possibility has arisen that Mike Maignan could miss the whole of January, a report claims.

According to Calciomercato.com, the scans that Maignan underwent have not brought good news for Milan ahead of Christmas. The goalkeeper underwent new checks today and there have been no signs of recovery.

The current state of his calf muscle is not yet satisfactory enough for him to move on to the next stage of his recovery, so that has been postponed until the next year when further tests will be conducted.

Maignan will undergo new exams in two weeks, but the possibility is taking shape that the problem will keep the former Lille goalkeeper out for the whole month of January.

Milan are waiting for further developments and could decide to try and rush through a move for Marco Sportiello, with whom terms have already been agreed ahead of a free transfer next summer.
