Giovanni Malagò gave little away when asked whether AC Milan fans should be worried about losing Massimiliano Allegri to the national team.
Malagò is the former president of CONI who was nominated by Lega Calcio Serie A as a candidate for the election for the presidency of the FIGC. The chances are growing that he will take over from Gabriele Gravina, and will therefore be in charge of picking Gennaro Gattuso’s replacement.

In recent days, there has been a lot of speculation that Malagò wants Allegri in charge of the Azzurri. Depending on which source you believe, the Milan boss has either affirmed his commitment to the club, or is tempted to take the Italy role because of a bad relationship with the management.
Malagò spoke on the sidelines of the Il Foglio event at San Siro and he was asked about the stories linking Allegri with the national team job. MilanPress relayed his words, and it would be fair to say he didn’t give anything away.
Would you like to work with Allegri?
“If I say anything more or less, everything will be exploited.”
Should the Milan fans be worried?
“I won’t answer anything, and believe me, I haven’t spoken with anyone.”
