AC Milan have announced that Maurizio Ganz has signed a new contract which will see him remain coach of the Women’s team until 2022.

A statement on the club’s official website has confirmed that Ganz has signed a new extension to stay coach of the Women’s First Team until 2022. He started his journey as coach of the Rossonere in the 2019-20 season and registered 27 wins, 4 draws and 5 defeats in 36 matches.

CEO Ivan Gazidis said: “I am very happy with this agreement, Maurizio and his staff are doing an excellent job. The team is playing an extraordinary season and we are convinced that together we can build a very successful future. The Women’s First Team is an important part of the Club’s identity and Maurizio is providing a stable, dynamic and progressive foundation for our development.”

Paolo Maldini added: “Ganz has proved his value on the pitch. He has helped the team grow through an innovative vision and a modern approach. He has united the squad whilst nurturing individual players. We are delighted to continue our journey with Maurizio.”

Ganz reacted too after signing: “I am delighted with this renewal, coaching the Rossonere has been a great challenge for me and I am happy to build on what we have been doing since my arrival at the Club. We have always given and will continue to give our very best to reward the closeness and trust of the Club, the management and our fans, whom I hope to see again soon in the stadiums”, commented Maurizio Ganz immediately after signing.”
