Sport: Maldini opens dialogue with agent of Real Madrid winger Bale – the latest

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have initiated discussions with Gareth Bale’s agent about the possibility of signing him when his deal with Real Madrid expires, a report claims.

Sport in Spain report that Bale will be one of the protagonists of the summer mercato given his contract runs out this summer and he will leave Real Madrid having failed to consecrate his status as a star of world football in the last two or three seasons.

The report adds how of the teams that has contacted Bale’s representatives is Milan, with director Paolo Maldini having had talks with his agent Jonathan Barnett of ICM Stellar Sports to evaluate the feasibility of signing the 32-year-old winger.

While he has not performed for Los Blancos recently and his time there is up, his performances for the Welsh national team have been superb and he has showed that he can continue playing at the highest level of European football.

It was reported earlier this week by Rudy Galetti that there was an enquiry lodged by Maldini with Bale’s entourage to understand the Welshman’s requests from a salary point of view and his intentions beyond the summer.

Bale has 106 goals and 67 assists for Real in 256 assists across all competitions, having scored some crucial goals in their recent history.

  1. No he’s broken he couldn’t stay fit in slow paced La Liga. Also he would want more than what we were offering Kessie. If Wales don’t make Qatar I see him retiring

  2. This is to good to be true, if given the time he can be a great additiob for the team in every competition and he is exactly the player we need in terms of the positions he plays
