GdS: Maldini ready to reignite pursuit of creative Ligue 1 midfielder in January

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have not given up on the idea of signing Romain Faivre with a new attempt expected in the January window, a report claims.

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanLive) writes that Milan already have a plan to bolster the squad and to made the midfield in particular more complete, and it involved going back in for a player they tried hard to sign in the summer.

Milan are looking to finally get a deal for Romain Faivre over the line, another player who was very close to joining the Rossoneri in the last mercato but ultimately was pulled off the market late in the window because of his decision to not show up for a game in order to try force a move.

Milan thought they had an agreement with Brest, even sending emissaries to France to close the deal, but the French club then stopped any dialogue, forcing Faivre to stay in the squad despite agreeing terms with Milan.
