AC Milan directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are planning to hold decisive talks with the entourage of Rafael Leao later this month, a report claims.
According to Corriere della Sera (via SempreMilan.it), a crucial meeting is scheduled for the second half of February to discuss renewal of Leao and it could well be a decisive one, as Maldini and Massara want a clear and certain answer.
The directors will host the Portuguese winger’s entire entourage at Casa Milan to work out his intentions and above all if the grounds still exist for discussing an extension to his current deal, which expires in 2024.
Given that there is less than 18 months to run on that contract it has become imperative for the management to reach an agreement in the coming months with Leao otherwise they will likely be forced into selling him during the summer window to avoid a repeat of the other situations that have seen players leave for nothing.
They are preparing for decisive talk since 12 months already…SELL HIM!!!!!!!!
This meeting is 3 months late. Before World cup should have the answer, now is too late. Probably lost half the transfer market value over a 6mths term delay. Berlusconi would have screamed if he was the president.
First, on the last summer. Then, before the world cup. After that, on this winter. Still, not concluded.
