Tijjani Reijnders is the topic of heavy interest from Europe’s best clubs, and AC Milan may lose him this summer.
Despite renewing earlier this year, there is a feeling of dread setting in about Reijnders’ future, considering the interest already present in him. However, it appears there may not be much more time to be fearful with the inevitable setting in.

Reports before the Coppa Italia suggested that a bid could arrive this week, and whilst this is not the case, discussions are in an ‘advanced’ stage, per Sky reports, relayed by Milan News.
This morning, it was revealed that the accounts for the season are due to end in the red, and next season, it could be the same without European football on the table for the Rossoneri. So, a big sale is not to be ruled out.
Reijnders, understandably, is the biggest point of interest, and he seems the most likely candidate to depart at this point. €55 million was the suggested bid last week, but you would hope that the Diavolo hold on for a record fee, at least.
Nothing, imaginably, would be done before Igli Tare is officially through the door, allowing him to assess the midfielder and potential replacements. Nevertheless, it is not looking good for those of a Milan perspective.

He scored too many goals for Gerry. At least sell him for 80 mln, anything less is under his market value.
Exactly…
Thank you
I’d rather we sell both Theo and Leao for 55m than Reijnders only for 55m
I agree that Reijnders is more important than both of them. They need to hang on to Reijnders and Pulisic at all costs. Sell anyone else.
I totally agree with Ryan….do we know if Tij even wants to leave?
Did Tonali? It doesn’t matter.
players will doesnt matter, they are slaves?
Are you insane?
Exactly…
Thank you
He’s not insane. He merely points at the fact, which is insane but true.
Origi didn’t want to leave because of his love to the Rossoneri shirt. =)
I doubt Tiji does want to leave. But neither did Kaka or Tonali
Origi loves our club more than they did. 🙂
100% but unfortunately, our managers have zero common sense.
Nonsense.. dey should sell TJ.. apart from scoring goals, TJ disappears in most of Milan games… He plays often in d double pivot and contributes nothing defensively..he’s a liability but u all can excuse him becos he scores goals.. he doesnt dictate game pace, .. though I will sell RLC, Musah, terraciano b4 selling TJ .. unfortunately TJ is d only one dat can bring in good money to milan
Tell me you don’t understand football without telling me you don’t understand football
He is right, Tiji is a brave one, though when things get tough, he disappeared off the radar
I’d agree he does disappear, but I’d counter so did Tonali and look what he’s grown into
It is shameful for you to have said this. You are not a milan fan, that name you bear is a sham
This whole situation is very fishy. First it was reported that City is interested in Tiji, now there are reports that our books are in red. Coincidence? I don’t think so. It seems to me that the clown management is just looking for a reason to sell him. I hope that Tare can influence them to give up selling Tiji.
“Winning is boring”…
“…losing is fun” haha
I agree that Reijnders is more important than both of Leo and Theo
Best teams don’t sell their best players, ridiculous. Selling, Saelemaekers, Pobega, Chuck, Okafor, Bennacer, Colombo, and Aldi, will put Milan back in the greeb. Add to this Theo, Tomori, Thiaw, Cheek, and potentially Leao, and that’s revenue like winning the league and Champions league. For this reason, I’ll only believe we will lose Reijnders when I see it.
they sold Tonali even when there is no need(with 200m+ from champions league and serie A), who is Reijnders.
ha ha ha ha
Sell: Leo, Theo, Reiji, Maig, RLC, Musah, Tomori, chucku : Min 240
Buy: Chiesa, Okoli, Perin(rotation), Ricci- total 70 million
Promote: Liberali, zeroli
Sell all of those plus, Kalulu, Saelemaekers and Pobega and we’re talking about another 45M. But buy instead Udogie, Gnonto, Fazzini, Ricci, Coppola, Lucca, Meret (free if he doesn’t renew) with Napoli) or take a chance on Torriani, backed up by Sportiello and Vazquez. Agree on integrating Liberali and Zeroli. Total spent 160M. That’s still 125M in the bank and a much better squad, than your scenario.
No one is buying Pobega the dude sucks
Sell! sell all of these good players.
just keep Muusah and Lotf’s cheat, ohh and Bamboo!
I’m sure will be exciting for next season, for watching the game’s prospective
yeah go support Inter then, Milan will be relegated right?
Sell
Sell
Please sell Reij, even for less than 45 mil. Good players will drop forms by staying at this crap team haha
Sell, sell, sell more..
They need to sell, Theo, musah, bennacer, leao, tomori, thiaw, salamakers, jovic that should raise enough money to cover losses and market. Let’s not sell Tiji
55 mil would be a mockery. 80+ mil and I can understand that they might wanna listen to offers but nevertheless not necessarily accepting an offer.
Freaking clown show if they sell him for 55 mil.
Agreed. If Tonali was 65, then Reijnders is 80M.
Even bigger joke is what Tonali is worth now. And responding to Martin, perhaps the biggest clown show of all was letting D Maldini go for peanuts only to have him sold on for 10m(can’t remember exactly) and gets called up to the Azzurri. All in the span of six months, we’re Santa Claus!
Maldini certainly shouldnt have been given away for free with us retaining a 50% resale but that was probably part of the demaldinizing of the club. Pretty sure he was a constant reminder of his father so maybe the decision came from the absolute top of the circus.
Tonali was sold for 70m and now you are pretending he is worth 200m lmao
tonali was sold for a bit below 60 mil with potential bonuses reaching roughly 70 mil. His value back then was roughly 50 mil so the rest was potential fees and add ons which some of it probably has been reached but hardly a super sale how its turned.
Vero to be fair Tonali was my favorite player at Milan and combine that with Maldini getting sacked in the span of weeks in between certainly had me more angry than I will be if we sell Reijnders now I wouldnt have sold Tonali and certainly not for what we got. Reijnders holds a value of around 50 mil which was also the case for the Italian but Tonali was also several years younger when we sold him so I think discusions shouldnt even start below 80 mil and that is just discusion.
Tonali was my favorite as well. We have a curse in our house where the shirt we buy is the player who leaves. This years jerseys are Leao, Theo, and Chukwueze, so Reijndeers could be safe. 😂
Well its far from the first time to be fair as the club has often sold my favorite players as they sold kaka, pato, el sharawy and shevchenko and so on so its far from a new thing for me but each time its nevertheless always irritating. I would prefer if we can keep Leao and Theo but I suspect at least one of them will be sold in this summer ..with a bunch of other players.
He’s played well, but frankly, after Milan’s season, I don’t mind if they sell the entire squad and rebuild from the ground up. Getting rid of the owners would be the best option.
do we even know that the money from this potential sale would be reinvested back into new players? Or is this just to plug the deficit?
In my opinion it would be for the best they reinvest Tijj’s money and plug with the rest that might be sold – RLC, Thiaw, Tomori, Theo, Mike, Musah, Chuk, Okafor, Benny, Adli, Kalulu, Pobega.
That’s because Tijji would be first to leave (Pep reportedly wants him for Club World Cup) and give them instant influx so they cod start immediately with reinforcing instead of delays. At least that’s what RedBird should do if they plan to be at helm any longer.
Exactly 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Why would anyone with half a brain think Redbird will reinvest ALL the $$ from player sales back into the team OR that we have management competent enough to use that $$ to buy good players???
Zero evidence to support that
Zero evidence apart from the €250+ million spent in 2 years. Where do you think the money from the Tonali sale went? Try posting something accurate, for a change.
I know I am always saying this, but we have the highest attendance in the league, a huge fan base purchasing merchandise, and relatively low salaries. Something doesn’t add up, and, most teams run at a financial loss. You don’t buy sports franchises to make money. We’ve also cheapened our club by attaching our logo to sponsorship deals with hundreds of brands. The money we lost is a small piece of the pie, it’s all BS.
Everything adds up. They’re called accounts. It should be obvious after spending €250 million, failing to qualify for the UCL and the money that brings in would mean taking a huge hit.
At 70 million let him go, definitely, but no less than 60. Not that he will necessarily be worth more than 60 in the future, but he’s shown enough of a possibility that it should be at least 60.
If they sell Reijnders I think Puli would be smart to leave.
Do not believe Pulisic will be too happy staying through a rebuild. Has not signed his extension and do not blame him at all. He needs Europe play next year prior to the World Cup.
Well nothing surprised me anymore under this regime. They fired Maldini, sold Tonali, hired Fonseca, spent 15 mil for the black panther, let another Maldini go for free, promoted a scout as a director, just to name a few.
I was hoping it is just theo they sell for 30-40m euro. But this is also good for tiji career. Playing with unstable team like ACM are really wasting age, no head coach, no trophy target, just finish the season and counting capital gain ( for elliot & RedBird)
Good luck Reinders and tnx for only good thing at last season. You deserved better results at some new club.
If you’re gonna sell the only good midfielder, at least get a decent price ffs
The locker room is broken/was broken earlier this year. I think having both Calabria and Florenzi out injured for much of the season hurt in this respect. They were missing leadership. You’ve got Magic Mike at the back and then… next to nothing. I see Puli working to win no matter the stakes and not much else – Tiji generally shows up ready to play every game. Fofana usually shows up. Gabbia usually shows up. The rest are all over the place. The most talented players in the squad are Leao and Theo. But they are not leaders. And that’s hard to work with, especially with new coaches coming in.
I think they should try to hold Tiji, unless they get silly money, which does happen. I’m calling silly money at 80m+.
If I were in charge, I’d take bids and sell Leao and Theo, get rid of all of the 9s except Santi, look for a more target/hold-up 9 and tell Puli and Tiji that we are going to build the team around them. The team has looked much better with the back 3, so I’d move forward with that – it plays to our strengths of being relatively deep at CB, but lacking the highest quality. I like Jimenez as wingback. So we’d need a new LWB to replace Theo, probably much cheaper. I’d probably sell Chuk as more of a pure winger, but we could try him on the right with Puli on the left. With a back 3, I think Walker works as RCB, plus we have Thiaw, Tomori, Gabbia, and Pavlovic, so I think the D is in good shape. I would keep Musah as a flexible player who can play RWB and center mid.
I think this is a situation of addition by subtraction. Get rid of the malcontents, get a new coach and then build up from the bottom.
However, if they aren’t careful, both Tiji and Puli will be gone and this team will be stuck in midtable for multiple years.
