This morning, AC Milan have reluctantly found out that the price for Rasmus Hojlund has been increased by Manchester United.
The reason why Milan have started to look at other strikers is due to the price of the Dusan Vlahovic operation. Now, that same issue could emerge in the chase for Hojlund, who is the leading option for the Rossoneri, as it stands.

A loan-to-buy agreement could be the route taken by the club, with the Red Devils seemingly open to the idea. In fact, a report suggests that the offer has actually been made by United themselves, rather than it being an approach by the Diavolo.
Price increase
Now, the terms could be changing, though. As Ben Jacobs, a talkSPORT journalist, writes on X, the price for Hojlund is now €40 million, €10m higher than the previously understood number for his exit.
It is worth considering that RB Leipzig, who are selling Benjamin Sesko to the Manchester outfit, have discussed the idea, whilst interest from Saudi Arabia is present, of which teams would easily be able to afford the increased figure.
The possibility of Milan bringing in both Vlahovic and Hojlund has been internally discussed, but this would surely have an effect on that.
Højlund to Saudi Arabia, sure that sounds really likely 😀 I doubt many players from Denmark would actually want to live and play down there in the regime regardless of the money involved.
Well 40mil is not too much for a striker on todays market. Get him on loan for 5 or 10mil and the rest as an option for next season.

Gimenez is a good striker, however I must confess, when we signed him, a certain Pavlidis was available for half that price.
Pavlidis was the one we should have signed, now he’s way outta reach.
A small correction here, Pavlidis was bought by Benfica in the summer of 2024 whereas Gimenez was bought in the winter Mercato of 2025.

You’re very correct, I didn’t even see the Gimenez signing coming in the winter, and I was excited about it but I stated it that I always wished it was Pavlidis.
Yeah I get that he was mentioned as a posibility in the media.
Asboluely as I didn’t see that transfer coming either. Both are good players but I did recall someone mentioning him frequently I just couldn’t remember it was you but fair enough as it wouldn’t have been a bad choice either and he certainly came somewhat cheaper for the Portuguese team.

Any loan deal for Rasmus Højlund should cover a proportion of his wages to free space for additional signing.
I like the idea but 40 seems high.
As a No.9, Ermedin Demirović or Tim Kleindienst is much stronger than Rasmus Hojlund.
Taking Hojland on loan would be a good outcome. A permanent move for a reasonable fee would be ok too.
