Theo Hernandez could leave Saudi Arabia after just one year, but is a sensational return to AC Milan possible?
According to Calciomercato.com, a return to Serie A should not be ruled out for Theo even if he is having a positive season in the Saudi Pro League with Al-Hilal, under the guidance of former Inter coach Simone Inzaghi.

The defender makes no secret of a certain desire to return to European football and Italy – where he performed so well for Milan – could be very tempting. Juventus were linked in January, but Theo wanted to wait for the summer to evaluate all the offers he has.
This way, Theo will be able to negotiate on a gross salary that won’t significantly impact the club he eventually joins. In any case, given the €20m net salary he earns at Al-Hilal, if an Italian club were to approach him the Frenchman would have to lower his salary demands.
There is another factor worth highlighting: the PIF (Public Investment Fund) fund – controlled by the Saudi government – has announced its disengagement from the club, completing the sale of 70% of its shares to the Kingdom Holding Company of Prince Bin Talal. So, there could be an exodus of players.
Theo back to Milan?
Theo Hernandez played 42 games across the entire season, split between the Saudi Pro League, King’s Cup and AFC Champions League Elite: 3,627 minutes in which he scored nine goals (playing both as a left-back and as a wing-back in a five-man line) and provided five assists.
On the Juventus rumours, there has never been a real negotiation or any concrete discussions. The Old Lady are indeed looking for a wing-back with those specific characteristics, but have yet to knock on the door of the entourage of the former Real Madrid man.
Could he return to Milan? Theo Hernandez himself told La Gazzetta dello Sport: “I saw Allegri, Tare, and Ibra. Furlani didn’t show up. Aside from Ibra, the lack of Milanese spirit is noticeable.
“The direction the club has taken and some of its decisions don’t reflect the values and ambition that brought me here. What if they asked me to come back? Now I want to win here. But as long as certain people are there, I won’t come back.”
The position of the entire technical staff – from sporting director Igli Tare to coach Massimiliano Allegri and the CEO Giorgio Furlani – has come under scrutiny. If there were big changes, the door could really open for a return to be explored.
There have been no discussions yet and obvious other big decisions must come first. However, Allegri (if he were to stay) could definitely use a wing-back like him, while Milan is where Theo’s family lives and where he has always felt at ease. His partner Zoe also promised to return one day.

Nah. He’s cooked.

Is there a club out there that looks more towards the past than Milan?
Why every week we are reading about a player returning?
Also, are the management changes going to make Theo a defender that can actually defend, or stop him from doing stupid things on the pitch that cost Milan points, games or getting knocked out of competitions, are they going to make him stop doing dumb things off the pitch that he has been doing since his Real Madrid days? He is the last person that should talk about values.
do u mean people who think Milan future wingback is kind of walker, royal & estupinan?
Kalulu/Pavard, Theo, Tonali, Giroud (he could be perfect for a backup striker despite his age)…
If we have to take some players from the past, Go for Theo, Hauge, Okafor
add Kessie & Jovic as rotation
Next week the news head line was tonali wants to come back. Hahaha…
Ok you see that Acmilan management made mistakes, let’s bring back Theo Hernandez,Hauge petter and sign quality players in attacking midfielders, wingers, striker with coach like Vincenzo Italiano or farioli Francisco. Let us not make mistake of keeping Allegri or bring Galliani is not a Good choice at all
After the fans were smearing his name last season I say “careful what you wish for”.
Theo is the best left back Milan can ever get. With the kind budget we have, we can never fully replace Theo. Just look at Estupid and Barte this season. Mediocre at best. Zero offensive output.
Theo was doing the work do TWO players btw, as he was also covering for Leao in defense. Something neothe Barte nor Estupid can do.
If we can get him back home, we should 🔥
“Theo was doing the work do TWO players btw, as he was also covering for Leao in defense. Something neothe Barte nor Estupid can do.”
So, Leao is the issue, not Theo “covering” for him. Theo wasn’t that great at defense anyway. His advantage was having the speed to simply get back and get in front of his man. In any case, spoiled brats are not what our dressing room needs right now, plus his public criticisms of management are probably not going to earn him a recall. Move on.
The best left back at Milan in twenty years. A player who came, and left, because he wants to win. Théo, s’accomodi.
When you do the work of two, are irreplaceable, play years at one position as the best in the game, become the clubs best all time scorer in your position, you win it’s first title in a decade, carry them to a semi final, at less than half the wage a person of your capabilities earns to be around your Idol, so your employer can keep your teammates you love with you, so the person who embodies all you want to be, can mentor you, who gets fired by a moron who tries to gain influence he isn’t worthy of, ruined a perfect team, well oiled machine s,o that punk can act as if your sweat that built his reputation and try to constantly lowball everyone to the detriment of your club you love’s reputation, you can afford to be spoiled. You have the duty to take a stand against DUMB AND INCOMPETENT PEOPLE WHO DON’T KNOW A THING BUT THINK THEY ARE ALL KNOWING.
I’ll take Donnaruma, Kessie, Tonali, Hakan, Leao and Theo’s side over this club, because the people operating it don’t respect our players or us, the people who make this team what it is. They had one job, spend money to keep our team together and not mess it up. They did everything but that.
Those players run their hearts and lungs out to the point of frustration, exhaustion, because the cheapskates didn’t want to put money into depth on our roster. Then you blame our okayers for doing the most while owners and Furliani’s do less than the bare minimum? You have to be a special kind of stupid.
They didn’t even get a person worthy of being Theo’s substitute in 5 years, let alone a starting replacement. You love Milan, you recognize and appreciate him, also why he was at the end of his nerves. He played for us, so many minutes, there wasn’t nothing left in the tank, while Cardinale and Furliani bragged about profits, and sustainability, by overworking our players, under paying them and not even supporting them by keeping our squad together at fair maket value wages, then you say f you, take a water break, let those people know, who really RUNS THE TEAM. THE MEN WHO RUN ON THE FIELD. PAY AND SUPPORT THEM OR GTFO. GO INVEST SOMEWHERE ELSE, YOU DON’T BELONG HERE.
He got 20m euro nett / season in saudi. How much italian club like juve & ACM can offer him? Not even half from his salary. Mostly only 5-6m euro nett / season from italian club. Even worst if both club failed to secure CL spot. Grimaldo are cheaper option for LWB if still play 352
